Overall Rating
There is barely anything out there about the 2019 Aston Martin Vantage that one could manage to ignore. Its curvy outfit highlighted with typical Aston signatories speak out for themselves. Even on the inside, the Vantage’s boulevard of leather and premium fitment can put any luxury sedan to shame.
An iconic British design blooming over a notable history and complemented by a furious engine and razor-sharp skills. Perhaps that's what the 2019 Aston-Martin Vantage is all about. Although the Vantage may be the “cheapest” Aston you can get with a sticker price of $149,995, but don't let its colloquial attributes fool you. The Vantage in true sense is a very well crafted presentation of what Aston Martin is all about. Luxury, performance and eye-grabbing designs.
The 2019 Aston Martin Vantage may be available as a standalone trim but there's barely any skill which this track-oriented beauty doesn/t exhibit. If you are looking for a sports car with top of the line performance and luxury, the 2019 Aston Martin Vantage will not disappoint you at all.

On the power front, the 2019 Aston Martin Vantage derives its juice from a Mercedes-AMG sourced 4.0-liter V8 which pops out 503 hp and 503 ft-lbs of torque. The engine seems to pack all the power the Vantage would have ever needed and is a sheer fun to drive.
Whatever bew the range, the engine has a very healthy power-reserve and rewards you with tons of torque whenever you need it. Even the 8-speed automatic transmission is lightning quick in shifts and never ever feels in the wrong gear.

Among the competition here, the Vantage here is the least powered machine sming the lot. The likes of Jaguar F-Type R and Mercedes-AMG GT C have a similar 550 hp output which is significantly better than that of the Aston here. However, don't let the numbers deceive you as the Vantage is a pure blast on the streets.
Straight line drag stints are nothing but an ideal home for the 2019 Aston Martin Vantage here. With its aerodynamics and nicely tuned mechanics, the Aston’s V8 helps it race from 0-60 mph in just 3.4 seconds. Well, these numbers are in line with most full-f;ledged track cars out there.

Among the competition here, the Vantage again impresses when compared against the competition. DEspite having a greater power output, the Jaguar F-Type R and the Mercedes-AMG GT C are not as good and ferocious as the Aston Martin Vantage here today.
On the move the 2019 second-gen Vantage completely blows your mind away. The suspension is slightly on the stiffer side which does account for harsh ride at low speeds Howwver., against fast corners, the Vantage seems very lively and potent. This beauty has all the grip and traction in the wor;ld and never feels out of place.
The suspension damping seems better than the DB11 nad the Vantage exhibits no signs of body movements at all. Courtesy also goes to its efficiently carved mechanics and weight distribution. The electric power steering is very precise and direct and lets you know exactly what the nose of vantage is trying to do. However being an electric steering and Aston’s fresh time with it, we only expect it to be better in the upcoming models.
With its intense performance aspirations, it's no doubt that the 2019 Aston Martin Vantage comes equipped with a robust braking apparatus. Although it gets iron-cast rotors as of now, the braking bite is very hard and precise. Stopping from 60-0 mph comes in just 100 feet which is impressive and lives up to class expectations.

The courtesy of Vantage’s solid braking also goes to its efficient aerodynamics. Also, under hard braking conditions, the 2019 Vantage shows no signs of panic or fade at all. Among the competition though, while the complete braking data of the GT C is not available but the F-Type R is as good as the Aston in terms of braking efficiency.
Well, it would be absolutely unfair to keep hunting for economy in cars like the 2019 Vantage with a V8 and which can sprint from 0-60 in under 3.5 seconds. However., for those on the frugal side of things, the 2019 Vantage returns a 20 mpg combined efficiency. The economy here again is something above expectations.

When placed against its rivals in terms of fuel economy, the 2019 Aston Martin Vantage again seems to tower over its two rivals. Needless to say, the Vantage offers marginally better fuel economy than both the Jaguar and Mercedes here.
On the inside the second-gen 2019 Aston Martin Vantage continues its exterior’s exquisite presentation in an effortless fashion. Step inside the cabin and you are welcomed by a cabin which not only feels s[pacipous and comfortable to the eyes but is also wrapped in top quality leather upholstery.Â
The dashboard has a ty[pical Aston feel to it and the overall build quality feels very sturdy as well. Everything that you place your hands on is wrapped with the finest ingredients and as a driver's perspective, you will appreciate the driver-centric cabin payout. Although the Vantage is essentially a two-seater, its sports seats are wide and supportive with excellent all day comfort.Â

When compared with its rivals, the Vantage does seem to have an edge over with its more opulent presentation. Also, in terms of space, the Vantage offers heaps of them and even taller passengers shouldn’t be looking for extra headroom and legroom in the Vantage at all.Â
The infotainment needs in the 2019 Aston Martin vantage are looked after by an 8.0-inch infotainment screen which floats atop the dash. Disappointingly though, no touch-interface and the screen uses the distractive rotary-dial controller. That's mainly because the system is borrowed from Mercedes-Benz and is also not their latest MBUX infotainment system.Â
Nevertheless, the system has a clean interface and is also pretty responsive and easy to use. While the system does come with basic connectivity and entertainment suite like Bluetooth, an Aston Martin audio system and a built-in navigation, it still misses out Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. We do hope that Aston fixes these essential bugs in the upcoming release.
Who looks for a healthy cargo space in a sports car? Well, these brutal machines are not ideally designed for carrying your shopping bags. However, if you are a bit concerned about numbers and your occasional Walmart visits, the Vantage offers a 10.1 cu-fts of cargo space. Honestly, this number should be enough to keep all your needs checked while simultaneously living with a track-destroying sports car.Â

Even among the rivals, the cargo space equation happens to be on the same plane. Especially that of the Mercedes-AMG GT C. The Jaguar F-Type R though takes a significant lead than the other two with its enhanced 14.4 cu-fts of cargo space and better everyday living.Â
Interior features
On the exterior front, the second-gen 2019 Aston Martin Vantage is an absolute stunner on the streets. Thanks to its fine amalgamation of modern trends and iconic Aston Martin characteristics. On the front the large signature Aston Martin grille teams up really well with the long and sculpted bonnet along with the slim LED head lamps here. From the front, the Vantage does seem like a mean car with a raging intent flowing in its veins.
Move to the side and that's where the Vantage displays its curves and creases in full glory. We love the way the roofline integrates with the front shoulder and the rear-hip and the strong shoulder lines have a lot of character in them. At the rear though, things are even more interesting with a unique LED tail lamp that runs through its width and is kind of integrated with the rear boot-lid spoiler. Oh, the quad exhaust tips at the back spare no time in letting you know the brutal aspirations of the Vantage.

Overall, the 2019 Vantage might not carry the grand-touring stance of the DB11 but its exterior proportions with all the intricate fine tunings make it one of the best looking Astons ever made. Compared to the somewhat “induced” GT elegance in the Mercedes-AMG GT C and the Jaguar F-Type R here, the Vantage seems to have just the right mix of character, aggression and style.
Exterior features
A product as spirited as the 2020 Aston Vantage also needs to be aptly equipped with safety tools to keep a check on its emotions. Safety ratings are not yet available for the 2020 Vantage, but it does get some state-of the art safety features to tame its fury. Some highlights of its safety package include -
Safety Features
The Mercedes GT C is one car in the segment that carries a very similar intent to the Audi R8. The GT C features a powerful V8, premium interiors and a cock-pit like interior layout.
Apart from its unique styling with a long bonnet, the Merc offers a smooth transmission and better handling than the Vantage. However, the Vantage topples the Merc with its overall ride comfort, nail-biting design, brisk performance, better cargo room and best in-class fuel economy.
In terms of character, the Jaguar F-Type R gets very close to the Aston Martin Vantage. Though it is not as spirited as the Vantage, but at a much lower price tag, the F-Type promises some solid driving sessions. The Jaguar looks stunning and is powered by a more potent V8 powerplant. Blessed with a smooth and refined transmission and a talkative steering, the F-Type feels more confident around corners than the Vantage.
However, the Vantage is more rewarding in terms of design, interior fit and finish and power delivery. The Aston is also quicker, more practical and fuel efficient than the Jaguar.
If you are out in the market looking for a sports car with a broader footstep, that can not only pump you through your weekend track events but also carry you to your office everyday with comfort, the 2020 Aston Martin Vantage is a perfect fit for you. However, if you narrow down your wishlist for a completely track-oriented machine, the Audi R8 and Mercedes-AMG GT offer more wind-tearing thrill than the Vantage.
