Dodge has silently removed the six-speed manual option on its 2022 Challenger SRT Hellcat model. This was brought into light by one automotive website last year itself. As per Dodge officials, there is a calibration issue with the manual transmission and because of that, it has been discontinued since November 2021. Although they did add that the issue is not related to the chip and PCM supply shortages instead are part of the daily roster of production that requires updating the calibration from time to time. That said, Dodge hasn’t given a fixed date for when they will bring back the manual transmission option.

But if you are looking to buy a Challenger SRT Hellcat right now you can do so with the eight-speed automatic transmission. While if you prefer the six-speed manual then either go the pre-owned route or wait till Dodge brings back the stick shifter. The 2022 Dodge Challenger starts at $30,825 while the 2022 Challenger SRT Hellcat series starts at $68,320. The Challenger SRT Hellcat can also be had in SRT Hellcat Widebody for $75,020, SRT Hellcat Redeye for $76,925, and the SRT Hellcat Widebody for $83,230.
