The 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander has received a full redesign in its debut a week ago and the brand has released the pricing and trim lineup. Mitsubishi is turning things up, trying to restore its lackluster image. Previously, the Mitsubishi Outlander Sport and 2021 Mitsubishi Mirage also got a significant overhaul for the upcoming year.
The 2022 Outlander rides on a next-generation platform developed through its partnership in the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance. The other product using this structure is the 2021 Nissan Rogue, which also shares the powertrain. The Outlander sits in a segment that is ruled by stalwarts like the Honda CR-V and the Toyota RAV4. However, Outlander offers the segment's only standard third-row seating.

2022 Mitsubishi Outlander Performance and Fuel Economy
Outlander is powered by a 2.5-liter inline-4, that puts out 181 hp and similar torque, coupled to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive’s standard and all-wheel-drive are optional for some extra bucks.
The estimated range for the new Outlander is 24/31/27 for 2WD models and 24/30/26(city/highway/combined) for all-wheel-drive models.
