The Ford F-150 is refreshed for the 2024 model year. From styling to the introduction of the new base engine, more standard and optional features, and exit for the older engines, it's a substantial update, to say the least. However, the most important change with the 2024 Ford F-150 would be the new pricing scheme. Ford has decided to increase the base price of the F-150 by over $2,700 while the PowerBoost hybrid sees a price drop.

Detroit hosted the North American International Auto Show from September 13 to September 24, 2023. Ford, however, made the decision to introduce one of the best-selling trucks in America for the 2024 model year even before the significant event, the 2024 Ford F-150. It receives a mid-cycle refresh this year which offers enhancements to its exterior design, standardization of the large touchscreen, the return of the F-150 Tremor model, and new optional features for the Pro Access Tailgate. The base V6 and the diesel V6 are both history and now only get either a turbocharged unit or an updated hybrid under the hood.

What's new in the 2024 Ford F-150 truck?

The 2024 F 150 redesign consists of distinct front grilles, new exterior lighting elements, new wheel designs, and some more. Overall, the F-150 looks more boxy now and has a new optional Pro Access multifunction tailgate at the back for accessing the cargo bed area when the trailer is attached.

The Pro Access tailgate offers a way to open just a small part of the tailgate which makes accessing the items from the bed easier, thanks to a side-mounted hinge The logo has been updated as well, and there are more distinct styling packages for 2024.

Meanwhile, the Tremor and Raptor models have received a new modular bumper as an option, which comes in a mix of tarnished dark anodized and carbon black colors. It has been designed to accommodate the Ford Performance Winch Kit with a Warn 12,000-pound winch or a factory-accessory light bar for increased visibility.

The 2024 Ford F-150 Tremor also gets a new front bumper and a different front grille with orange accents. The 2024 Ford F-150 interior features a 12-inch infotainment screen and digital instrument panel as standard features across the trim range. Furthermore, the top-tier Limited trim is no longer available.

What's under the hood of the Ford F-150 2024 model?

When it comes to the powertrain, the old 3.3L V6 engine is long gone now and is replaced with the 2.7L EcoBoost V6 setup, which earlier was an optional engine. The new 2.7L twin-turbo V6 base engine is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission and produces 325 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque.

Other engine options include a 3.5L EcoBoost V6 with 400 hp and 510 lb-ft available, a 3.5L PowerBoost Hybrid V6 with 430 hp and 570 lb-ft, and the classic 5.0L V8 with 400 hp and 410 lb-ft of torque. There are also 8 different axle ratios on offer along with the 4WD drivetrain.
