In the spring of 2021, the Mercedes-Benz EQA SUV was launched in Europe. Sadly, since its debut, the electric version of the GLA SUV has not made entry into the US market. Nonetheless, it is rocking in EU countries and Mercedes-Benz has decided to put it on sale this fall with several updates.
2024 Mercedes-Benz EQA Refreshed And Now Comes 348 Miles Of WLTP Range

The 2024 Mercedes-Benz EQA price has not been revealed yet but European consumers can start ordering in Fall 2023. Check out the video below by "DPCcars" for a real-world look at the facelifted Mercedes EQA.

At least, we have its bigger sibling, the three-row EQB model in America which has also received a facelift like the entry-level electric compact SUV, the EQA for the 2024 model year. Both electric SUVs from Mercedes-Benz share similarities in the new updates. However, we will be focusing on the EQA alone for now.

That being said, one of the important highlights of the 2024 EQA crossover is the aerodynamic optimization that has led to better efficiency and longer range. The updated EQA with the EQA 250+ trim specifications now runs up to 348 miles or 560 kilometers on the WLTP cycle.

There are multiple trim choices on the 2024 EQA but only two battery options. You can either get the 66.5 kWh pack or 70.5 kWh. Regardless of the selection, the EQA SUV has a max DC charge rate of 100 kWh.

Having said that, except for the EQA 250+ which is a long-range trim, the EQA 250, EQA 300 4Matic, and EQA 350 4Matic, all three are offered with the smaller battery. In the EQA 250 and EQA 250+, a single electric motor is the main driving unit which produces 140 kilowatt or 188 horsepower.

Furthermore, these trims also come with a default front-wheel drive system. For all-wheel drive and dual-motor setup, the EQA 300 4Matic and EQA 350 4Matic are on sale. The former generates 168 kW or 225 horsepower while the latter makes 215 kW or 288 horsepower.

When it comes to the exterior, the 2024 EQA features a new black star pattern grille at the front along with a light bar between the DRLs. The front bumper has also been tweaked a little to make it more aerodynamic.

On the rear end, there are subtle changes. Updated taillights now come with 3D light signature graphics. Overall, the 2024 refreshment on the EQA brings it in alignment with the design language used on the EQE and EQS models

Inside the cabin, just like the EQB, the 2024 Mercedes-Benz EQA SUV has a new 3-spoke steering wheel with haptic controls. Meanwhile, the dashboard also comes with new accents. In the tech department, the EQA receives a bigger infotainment setup with the latest generation MBUX system.

The arrangement has two 10.0-inch screens. Furthermore, now you can select "Subtle," "Sporty," and "Classic”, settings to customize your infotainment display. Overall, the graphics are crisper and the interface is easier to use than the previous one.

Mercedes also claims that voice assistant has improved allowing better recognition of the speech. Additionally, the Burmester surround-sound system now offered is under the options list. At the same time, the Plug & Charge has been borrowed from other Mercedes electric models.

Due to the new feature, charging speed has now increased. From now on, as soon as you plug in the cable, the charging will automatically start since no customer authentication is required. The charger and the EQA will communicate and start the charging process themselves. Mercedes is also planning to bring in 10,000 charging stations starting this year in the US.

The driving assistance features have been refined as well due to sensor technology. Hence, the lane-keeping and parking assistance features that are part of the Driving Assistance package have enhanced functionality. Meanwhile, other new safety features are a new rearview camera and a new mono-multipurpose camera.
