Both the Rivian R1S SUV and R1T pickup were available for pre-ordering for a while. But you had only the data provided by the brand to trust, and some might even be waiting for a recognized agency to back up these claims. The wait for such folks is over. We would like to congratulate both these Rivians for being certified by the EPA with the allocation of official range figures on Friday. Rivian R1S and R1T EPA range suggests they easily manage to go over the 310-mile range.

If carmakers like Tesla cannot stick to roadmaps complaining about the rough year, we can't blame Rivian much about R1T release dates being pushed back a couple of times now. Although the Rivian website mentions that pre-orders of the Launch Edition would be reached out till November 2021 for the R1T pickup truck delivery, the exciting part is the availability of demo drives starting from this September. Release of other R1T configurations and Rivian R1S is not quite expected anytime before January 2022.
Speaking of deliveries, if you are considering getting a Rivian sometime soon, the R1T price starts at $67,500, whereas the R1S MSRP is tagged at $70,000. But folks are ready to pay these prices, which can be seen as all the slots of R1T Launch Edition reservations have been booked. Furthermore, serious Rivian off-road capabilities and fast 140-mile charging in 20 minutes at the rapidly expanding Rivian Adventure Network have already led a revolution in the electric world.

These Rivian monsters, the R1T truck and R1S SUV, both get a Quad-motor setup that helps them put down a 0-60mph runtime of 3 seconds. The Rivian R1T towing capacity is capped at 11,000bs, whereas the Rivian R1S could tow a maximum of up to 7,700 lbs. Be careful though as maximum towing might reduce efficiency to 50% or more.
The official EPA estimates for Rivian twins are out that claim Rivian R1T range of 314 miles combined and Rivian R1S range of 316 miles combined. The Rivian R1S SUV does not match the Tesla SUV standards, but the Rivian has revealed that a longer-range R1S will be announced soon and Rivian R1S can handle off-roads better than Tesla. As for the Rivian R1T pickup truck, its EPA estimates are decent in the electrified truck segment, but Tesla has claimed a 500-mile range for its Cybertruck. That said, a 'Max battery Pack' is expected to be available for Rivian R1T soon that will elevate the range to 400 miles helping it reach a bit further.
