The G37 has all the traits of a proper sports sedan. A four-wheel steering system is also available by angling the rear wheels up to one degree in cornering, the G37’s already impressive handling is further sharpened. 

The only car to give a challenge to the G37 is the Lexus IS 350. Meanwhile, the pricey Cadillac CTS fills the third place on the table. With slow acceleration, the Acura TL rests in the last place. Honestly, the G37 is the best pick among its rivals with an excellent price and performance combination. 

Due to its powerful engine, the fuel efficiency of the Infiniti G37 is not that great. In the cities, the G37 is rated at 19 mpg whereas the highway figures are estimated at 27 mpg with a combined mileage of 22 mpg. Owing to its large 20-inch gallon fuel tank, the sedan delivers a range of 460 miles in mixed proportions. 

Out of all the rivals, the Lexus IS 350 boasts an incredible fuel economy while the Cadillac CTS grabs the second spot on the table. With a combined mileage of 22 mpg, the G37 takes third place while the Acura TL is pushed to last place. 

While the exterior is generally restrained, the G37’s most distinctive styling is found inside. Cutting across the doors and dash is textured aluminum trim meant to evoke the appearance of elegant Japanese paper. Interior surfaces have a high-quality look and feel, best exemplified by the hand-stitched leather wrap steering wheel. 

At 40.5 inches of headroom in the front row, the G37 offers the most spacious passenger space in the front row while the space in the rear row is decently offered. A cargo capacity of 13.5 cubic feet is offered which is on par with its rivals.

How intuitive is the 2011 Infiniti G37’s infotainment system?

Some critics have complained that the navigation map quality is quite childish-looking and it’s a bit torture to read while others said they have improved the graphic quality from the previous models. 

Unlike the German competitions, scanning around the map to figure out where you are is easy, just touch to recenter. It’s that easy. Otherwise, you can use the buttons laid beside the Infiniti controller to navigate through the menus and directions. From the rear, more rounded tail lamps complement the shapely bumper cover. Overall, the G37’s appearance is clean and simple but there are details worth noting. The grille consists of sculpted bars that twist like a traditional Japanese sword. 

The Lexus IS 350 has the shortest wheelbase of 107.4 inches and hence, the shortest length in this competition. Also, taking advantage of its low curb weight, the IS 350 gives a tough challenge to the G37 in terms of performance.
