Overall Rating
The 2011 Infiniti M37 is one of the better-driving luxury sedans in the market. It offers great interiors and brilliant performance.
The 2011 Infiniti M37 is one of the better-driving luxury sedans in the market. It offers great interiors and brilliant performance. The ride quality tends to suffer a bit owing to a stiffer suspension, though the handling and the body dynamics are well designed. The car comes with a 3.7L V-6 motor making 330 horsepower and is aligned with a 7-speed automatic gearbox. Its more powerful trim based on the same body, the M56, comes with a V-8 motor making even more horsepower.
The base offering of the car is quite well outfitted, though Infiniti offers a plethora of additional packages. The Premium package adds a bit more into the options, without much of a price gain. The rear-wheel-drive sedan is a much better performer than the all-wheel-drive, except on slippery roads.

The base offering of the car is quite well outfitted, though Infiniti offers a plethora of additional packages. The Premium package adds a bit more into the options, without much of a price gain. The rear-wheel-drive sedan is a much better performer than the all-wheel-drive, except on slippery roads.
The 2011 Infiniti M37 is powered by a 3.7L V-6 motor that makes 330 horsepower and 270 foot-pounds of torque. The transmission is a 7-speed automatic that likes to hold on to gears and rev the engine up. The downshifts are pretty quick, and the overall response is exceptional.
The steering feels direct and responsive, while the build quality seems robust enough to take on a track. The M37, however, suffers from Nissan’s characteristic vibrations and body shakes, which should not be seen in a car at this price.

In throttle response, the Infiniti M37 is the quickest of the lot, with the ability to go to 60 mph in just 5.5 seconds. The M37 is also the quickest on the block to reach the quarter-mile. Compared to the Acura RL and the Lexus GS 350 though, both of which are executive sedans, the M37 seems to be an outlier.
The fuel economy for the well-engineered engine is actually quite brilliant. The V-6 motor manages 18 mpg in cities, 26 mpg on highways, and 21 mpg combined, which is pretty decent for the class. With the all-wheel-drive, the car offers 17 mpg in cities, 24 mpg on highways, and 20 mpg combined.

The Infiniti M37 ranks at the higher end of the segment in terms of fuel economy. The car also has the largest fuel tank in the competition, making it have the best range at over 520 miles on highways. The Acura RL seems to be the least efficient of the lot and even has the least range, offering 20 mpg combined and 463 miles on the highway, respectively.
The interior design of the car is quite opulent and adopts Japanese stylish touches that make it quite unique. There are wood trimmings all over the cabin, leather outfitted in most parts, and on higher packages, it even has wood-trim treated with silver dust.
The cabin is neat and well arranged with great visual appeal. The center console sits up distinctly in the middle of the cabin, with an LCD display to show the audio and climate control outputs. The suede headliner, semi-aniline leather, and even the silver dust buffed wood trim are some of the best features offered in an Infiniti as of yet.Â

The new car is wider, longer and lower than the previous generation. There is a great room in all seating positions in the car. The driver and the passenger get 10-way power-adjustable seats. The backseats are supportive and offer decent space for comfortable sitting. The trunk is also quite large to easily accommodate the belongings of a family. Some standout interior features are:
The M37 has Bose audio with Bluetooth streaming and Voice-Activated Navigation. There is an LCD display in the center of the dashboard which includes a plethora of features including XM traffic, weather, and Zagat restaurant guides. There is even a music hard-drive and a DVD player. Some standout infotainment features are:
The 2011 M37 is one of the best looking Infiniti yet. The fenders arise from the front grille and move from convex to concave and back along the shoulders. The car now bears a much more improved and aggressive look.
It even has new 5-spoke alloy wheels that look to be adopted from the Nissan 370Z. Overall the sleek curves and shape make the Infiniti a true head-turner.

The M37 has the longest wheelbase of the lot, though its length is a bit smaller. This means the car has wheels very close to its 4 corners giving it great handling. The M37 is also wider and has a lower height, making it look more aggressive. When comparing the curb weight, Acura RL is the heaviest weight 4,083 lbs, followed by Infiniti and Lexus. Some standout exterior features include:
The redesigned M37 is expected to have great safety scores. The previous generation sedan was rated as “Good” by the IIHS, although not rated by the NHTSA. Standard features include dual front, side, and curtain airbags. Anti Lock brakes, active headrests, and traction and stability control are all offered. There is even a rear-view camera and rear parking sensors. Some standout safety features include:
The 2011 Infiniti M37 is a bit of an outlier in the segment. Where most sedans go for performance with luxurious settings and interior accents, the M37 seems more attuned to offer brilliant performance. The cabins are still top-notch and full of premium materials and technology features. The car also offers competitive cabin safety. Overall the Infiniti M37 sedan is a highly recommended car in the mid-size executive sedan segment.
