The 2011 Kia Sportage is available in two engine options. The first is a base 2.4-liter inline 4 cylinder engine that generates around one 176 HP along with 168 pound-feet of torque, while the much powerful 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-4 cylinder engine generates around 260 HP along with much better 269 pound-feet of torque. 

Both the engines are mated to a six-speed automatic transmission while delivering the power to the front wheels as standard.
