The 2011 Mitsubishi Endeavour is a midsize crossover SUV that has been left into oblivion by the brand. Available in two trims and a standard 3.8-liter V6 engine with FWD standard and AWD offered at an additional cost in the higher trim.
The 2011 Mitsubishi Endeavour still comes with the same 3.8-liter V6 engine that produces decent power output, but even this bigger V6 engine does not compete fairly with the other vehicles in the segment. It lacks in acceleration and fuel economy but provides a decent amount of spacing in the interior for all the five passengers that it can accommodate. It is slightly lower on the cargo capacity when compared to its rivals which provide much better spacing for the passenger as well as an improved cargo capacity.
The 2011 Mitsubishi Endeavor is available in two trim options, namely the LS and SE. The LS is available at the base price of $28,299, which provides multiple features as standard like cruise control, 17-inch alloy wheels, and a 6-speaker sound system. While the SE trim is available at a price of $32,099 which adds in better interior features that improve the overall experience of driving the 2011 Mitsubishi interior.

We Recommend
As there is only one engine option available in the 2011 Mitsubishi Endeavour, both the trim options here provide the same performance and power output. But if we had to choose, we would choose the SE trim, which is slightly on the higher side but adds in better interior features, like leather upholstery, heated outside mirrors, automatic climate control, and bigger 18-inch alloy wheels. Thus even if it is almost $3,000 more expensive than the base trim, it provides better value for the money spent.
The 2011 Mitsubishi Endeavour is available in a single engine option of 3.8-liter V6. This engine provides a power output of 225 hp along with the same 225 pound-feet of torque. The engine is mated with a 4-speed automatic transmission that delivers the power to the front wheels as standard.
The transmission is not the quickest or the smoothest and provides mediocre performance. The Endeavour takes 8.6 seconds to reach the 60 MPH mark from a standstill. Further to cover the quarter-mile distance, it takes 16.2 seconds.

The Mazda CX-9 is the most powerful in this comparison with a power output of 273 HP from a similar 3.7-liter V6 engine. The Toyota Highlander is not far behind when compared to the Mazda as it generates a power output of 270 HP. Both Mazda and Toyota have a similar acceleration timing of zero to 60 mph in 7.1 seconds, while the quarter-mile distance is covered in 15.7 seconds.
The bigger 3.8-liter V6 engine does take a toll on the fuel economy of the 2011 Mitsubishi Endeavour. It provides a mileage of 15mpg in the city, which improves to 21 MPG on the highway. Thus we get a combined mileage of 19 MPG from the Mitsubishi. Along with that, it has a larger fuel tank capacity of 21.4 gallons, which provides a maximum range of 450 miles.

The Toyota Highlander has the smallest fuel tank capacity of 19.2 gallons while the Mazda CX-9 provides a fuel tank capacity of 20.1 gallons.
The interior of the 2011 Mitsubishi Endeavour is quite spacious to accommodate up to five people inside the cabin while providing a considerable amount of spacing for each and every individual.
The materials used in the interior are cheap hard plastics, but the overall design gives a pleasant feeling. Along with that, the Endeavour has a cargo capacity of 40.7 cubic feet behind the second seat, while with the rear seats folded, the cargo capacity increases considerably to 76.4 cubic feet.

The 2011 Mitsubishi Endeavour has not been tested by the NHTSA, while the IIHS has given it a ‘Good’ rating for the moderate front overlap and side test segments. But the roof and head restraints get marginal ratings from the IIHS, thus it is not the safest vehicle out there. The Mitsubishi Endeavour is equipped with multiple safety features that do improve the safety factor of the vehicle. Here is a list of all the safety features that are available with the 2011 Mitsubishi Endeavour:
While the 2011 Mitsubishi Endeavour houses a massive 3.8-liter V6 engine, the power output & performance are not as great as what the competitors offer. It is lethargic in acceleration and also lacks in the fuel economy that it provides. It comes with an outdated 4-speed automatic transmission that provides below-average performance. The interior provides decent spacing for all the passengers but lacks the third-row seat that is available with its competitors. All in all, the 2011 Mitsubishi Endeavour is not the best vehicle that you can opt for in this segment, and thus we suggest you to look at better options currently available in the market.
