As per our calculation, we can see the base version is loaded with all the standard features. It is a better value for money proposition. So, we recommend you to go with the base trim. From the price point of view, it comes equipped with many necessary features like Satellite Radio, a 4-speaker sound system, and Bluetooth connectivity.

The 2012 Kia Sportage is powered by a 2.4 Liter Inline 4 engine. The engine delivers 176 horsepower @ 6,000 rpm and 168 lb-ft of torque @ 4,000 rpm. It comes with a 6-speed shiftable automatic transmission powering the front-wheel-drive of the car.

Only the base trim comes with a 6-speed manual transmission, other than that, other trims feature a 6-speed automatic transmission with a manually shiftable function. 

While all the other cars in this segment feature a front-wheel-drive layout, it is just the Subaru that wins our heart offering an all-wheel-drive setup.
