The ES 350 is pretty well equipped at its price of $36,725. It comes with very useful features such as dual-zone automatic climate control, heated eight-way power front seats, leather upholstery, auxiliary audio jack, and so on. Buyers cannot however pick a different engine although the one that comes with the ES is pretty powerful. 

We recommend options such as panoramic sunroof, adaptive headlights, adaptive cruise control with a pre-collision system, wood trim steering wheel, hard-drive-based navigation, backup camera, and the optional premium stereo system.

The Lexus ES 350 is offered for 2012 with a 3.5 L V6 engine that is paired to a six-speed automatic. The combined output is 268 hp and 248 pound-feet of torque.

This is then connected to a front-wheel-drive system only. It has a 0 to 60 mph time of 7.0 seconds making it adequately fast.

The Lexus does not exactly provide the same performance as its rivals do despite having a powerful engine. The Dodge Charger is the most powerful full-size sedan when you look at the acceleration figures. However, even with its base engine and front-wheel drive, the Acura TL is competitive. The Buick has much less performance in terms of 0 to 60 mph and quarter-mile times despite having almost similar power outputs.

Since there is only one engine with the same transmission and drivetrain options, fuel efficiency is similar throughout all cars. The 3.5 L V6 returns 22 mpg combined and translates to 19 MPG in the city and 28 MPG on the highway. These figures are pretty impressive considering that the car is also very powerful and refined. 

A rather large fuel tank capacity of 18.5 gallons makes sure that it returns a good range - 351 miles inside the city and 518 miles on the highway. What impresses drivers the most, however, is that the engine is very refined and butter-smooth throughout.

All cars deliver excellent performance but not all the same in terms of fuel efficiency. The Acura TL is almost the most fuel-efficient of the lot. It also has a large fuel tank capacity of 18.5 gallons, which puts it at a safe spot in terms of range. The Buick LaCrosse turns out to be the least efficient with a combined fuel efficiency of just 21 mpg which is a shame because it is even below the thirsty Charger. In terms of range, the Lexus is one of the best due to its large tank capacity.

The interiors of Lexus ES 350 are truly well-designed. It has done a proper job in its quest to provide the users of the car with luxury. Material quality is excellent throughout the cabin, with supple leather and real wood trim. The feature level is on par with much more expensive cars.

The space offered is also quite generous in the interiors, and the seats are supportive and comfortable. One of the only defects is that the trunk space is a bit low at just 14.7 ft.³.

All sedans offer seating for five passengers and one can observe that all cars are pretty evenly matched in terms of interior space as well as trunk volume. The Acura is a bit down on cargo space while others remain pretty competitive. The Lexus has the lowest legroom in the rear seats but is still pretty comfy. Some of its interior features include:

The infotainment unit on the Lexus is a very simple and easy-to-use system. There is an excellent audio system with eight speakers, while the 14 speakers Mark Levinson system is available as an option. This optional stereo system is much better and really enhances the experience of owning one. 

There are also decent connectivity features that can be used to sync all your devices. The electronics are generally very friendly on the car and make the experience very easy. Few standout infotainment features available are-

One can see that the Lexus is very light when compared to its competitors, but one can say that any car is light when compared to the heavy and humongous Dodge Charger. However, this is a pointless metric because all cars feel decently quick and offer good fuel efficiency. The Dodge is the heaviest and is closely followed by the Buick.
