The 2013 Hyundai Accent is powered by a 1.6L Gamma II GDi I-4 motor. It is tuned to dish out a maximum of 138 horsepower and 123lb-ft of torque. The power figures are quite strong for the segment and the motor offers a punchy performance too owing to its lightweight construction.
The motor can propel the sedan from a standstill to 60mph in a fairly quick 9.8 seconds, a commendable time for the segment. The motor is further mated to a smooth 6-speed manual transmission that handles all the power from the motor quite efficiently and offers a sporty experience as well.

The Ford Fiesta returns better mileage figures since it generates lesser power and torque figures than both the Hyundai Accent and the Kia Rio sedans.
From the inside the Accent looks more upscale than its price and segment it is placed in. The solid build quality and high-quality materials is further accentuated by a tasteful dashboard design and a patterned upholstery.
The front seats are quite roomy and offer more than adequate headroom even for taller drivers but the lack of telescoping adjustments for the steering wheel might pose as a slight problem for taller drivers. The rear seats are more spacious than the front seats and can accommodate two passengers with adequate comfort with generous legroom and headroom.

The trapezoidal “cutout” around the front grille flanked by the angular headlamp units gives a distinct and mildly aggressive appeal to the front end of the car. The side profile looks neat with some sculpted lines running across the doors while the rear end also has a nice appeal with the stubby trunk lit and a less curvy roofline.
