Overall Rating
The 2013 Hyundai Veloster is a distinctively styled hatchback made for people looking for a risky or bold state of design.
The 2013 Hyundai Veloster is a distinctively styled hatchback made for people looking for a risky or bold state of design. On the paper, Veloster offers many of the features that rivals brag to be premium, great fuel economy, and the newfound turbo power. But on the road, it isn’t enthralling to drive due to its performance shortcomings, dull handling, and road noise.
Though the Hyundai Veloster offers several standard features to its lineup, we recommend the new Turbo variant as it packs more power and a better list of features. Bundle that with the Ultimate package that adds rear parking sensors, panoramic sunroof, adaptive headlights, and Hyundai's exceptional navigation system, it makes the best value for money option.

Neither the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) nor Insurance Institute for Highway Safety has crash-tested the Hyundai Veloster. It now features an all-new Hyundai BlueLink that includes automatic crash notification, on-demand roadside assistance, and vehicle alarm notification. All the variants of the Veloster come equipped with a huge array of safety features like traction control, anti-lock disc brakes with brake assist, and six standard airbags. The 2013 Hyundai Veloster is a car with a distinctive style that offers several standard features to its entire lineup, although its performance isn’t as energizing as its sporty styling. Adding to that, the reliability and safety scores are subpar, which makes it an omitting fare.
