The 2013 Mazda CX-9 comes with a 3.7 Liter V6 engine. The motor is capable of delivering 273 horsepower and 270 lb-ft of torque.

Power from the engine goes through the 6-speed shiftable automatic transmission to the front-wheel-drive of the car. It is the only transmission available but you can opt for either a Front Wheel Drive or an All Wheel Drive.

Of all the cars, it can be found that the Toyota Venza is the only one to feature an Inline 4 engine. The rest all comes with a V6 setup. In terms of power output, the Ford Flex ranks the highest followed by the Mazda CX-9, Nissan Murano, and the Toyota Venza.

The Mazda CX-9 has a cabin that can be termed stylish and elegant. It has a look that resembles high-end material which is generally not found in the case of rivals. However, there are some cheap plastics as well. Space management isn't that great inside the cabin.

There is a good amount of headroom in both the first and second row of seats. Even taller passengers won't face any difficulty. However, the third-row seats get compromised in the headroom. The second row of seats fold and slide and that function is used to gain access to the third-row seats. In this segment, the Mazda and the Ford are the only two cars that feature a seating capacity of 7 passengers while the other two cars could accommodate a maximum of 5.
