The Volkswagen Beetle is the most iconic hatchback from the German marquee. It has been one of the best-selling cars all over the world since its release for its unique style and character.
The Volkswagen Beetle is the most iconic hatchback from the German marquee. It has been one of the best-selling cars all over the world since its release for its unique style and character. The Beetle has undergone a lot of changes and treatment ever since and it has successfully stepped up into the year 2013 with a lot more character and sophistication than before. The first Volkswagen Beetle was designed by Ferdinand Porsche, the founder of Porsche. Apparently, it is a Porsche for teenagers.
We recommend the R Trim for its plethora of features and all those features come at a nice bargain in comparison to its base variant. The higher-end variant also has a long list of options. The base model comes with a mandatory list of features whereas the R line is heavily loaded with lots of modern features. As standard, it incorporates some requisite features such as air conditioning, Remote keyless entry, and Tilt steering wheel.

The engine of Volkswagen Beetle sports 2 choices of engine. It is now equipped with a naturally aspirated and a forced-induction engine. It houses a 2.5 liter inline 4 and a 2.0-liter TSI engine. The 2.0-liter TSI engine is capable of cranking out 200 hp and 207 lb-ft of power and torque respectively which is mated to the 6-speed manual which still retains the true spirit of the classic cars. The power is transferred to the front-wheel-drive train.
On the other hand, the 2.5-liter inline 4 engine produces a slightly less power of 177 hp and a torque of 177 lbs-ft. but it is still a quite competent engine. It is mated to a 5 speed manual as standard and you can also opt for a 6 speed automatic for both engines. However, the 2.0-liter TSI engine manages to hit 60 mph in just 6.3 seconds and does a quarter-mile run of 14.9 seconds, and tops out at 124 mph.
