The Acura RLX sedan is offered in a single trim level along with a standard V6 motor and a standard FWD layout. There are several packages to choose from and are called “trim levels” by the manufacturer. The base trim is quite well equipped with features such as a sunroof, keyless ignition and entry, a power tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, heated eight-way power front seats, driver memory settings, premium vinyl upholstery, and tri-zone automatic climate control. Interior technological features include a rearview camera, Bluetooth, SMS text-to-speech capability for MAP-enabled phones, and a 10-speaker ELS sound system with CD player along with digital music storage, a USB/iPod interface, HD radio, and satellite radio. The Navigation package adds navigation capability into the 8-inch screen already present at the top of the dash along with access to the AcuraLink suite of smartphone apps. The Technology Package is priced at $54,450, adding rain-sensing wipers, power-retractable mirrors, a blind spot monitoring system, acoustic glass, leather upholstery, wood interior accents, and a 14-speaker ELS sound system. The Advanced Package costs $60,450 and offers adaptive cruise control, a collision mitigation system with automatic braking, a lane-keeping assist system, front and rear parking sensors, ventilated front seats, and heated rear seats.

We Recommend
We would suggest you the RLX with the Technology Package since it will allow having a luxurious as well as tech-rich experience.
The Acura RLX is powered by a standard 3.5liter Earth Dreams J35Y4 V6 motor. It can push out a maximum of 310 horsepower and 272lb-ft of torque. In general day-to-day usage, the motor is adequately powerful and doesn’t like to be rushed. It has a very uniform power delivery and you won’t find anything to complain about.
The refinement levels are right on-point and the gear-shifts via the 6-speed automatic gear-box are almost imperceptible. The combination of the powertrain and the drivetrain results in a 0-60mph timing of 6.3 seconds which average for a luxury mid-size sedan. The ride quality is on the plusher side with the standard wheels but the optional 19-inch wheels make it rougher and the steering feels disconnected from the road too, lacking the proper feel of driving.

The moment you step inside the cabin of the RLX, you’ll be surprised to see how spacious it is. There is ample headroom for the front passengers while the rear headroom might run out in case of tall adults over 6 feet. The front seats are wide and comfy along with the power-adjustments, making it even better over long distances.
The rear seats are comfortable too with soft cushioning. The interior materials are made from high-quality materials and there are ample soft-touch surfaces throughout the cabin as well. The controls are well within the reach of the driver but the display interface doesn’t a good quality graphics and can be distracting to use while driving.

As a new entrant in the segment, the Acura RLX looks quite appealing only due to its unique headlamp design. Apart from that, the rest of the design doesn’t strike much and gets lost among the crowd.
The front grille looks sleek with a tasteful chrome treatment and features an upswept design to look more aerodynamically efficient. The side profile looks above average with some sculpted lines and the rear end looks heavily inspired from the Mercedes-Benz E Class sedan design but looks appealing nonetheless.

Since Acura is a subdivision of none other than Honda, it is quite expected that its vehicles will come with the same level of safety as any Honda vehicles. The Acura RLX bags a top “Good” rating from the IIHS but the NHTSA has not tested it yet. The standard safety features of the sedan include antilock disc brakes, front-seat side airbags, full-length side curtain airbags, a driver knee airbag, and a rearview camera. The Advanced package offers front and rear parking sensors, collision mitigation and lane keeping assist, A blind spot monitoring system is offered with the Technology package.
Safety features of the sedan are:
The Acura RLX looks like a promising deal from the brand but it does come with its own share of downsides starting with an uninspiring design and tight rear seats that are a bit unexpected from a luxury sedan. Apart from that, the sedna has quite some things going for it such as a decent performance, excellent fuel economy, and a compliant ride quality.
