This engine generates a strong 580 hp and 556 lb-ft of maximum power and torque. The Shelby GT500 is the most powerful machine among all of these while the only non-muscle here, the Nissan 370Z NISMO is the least powerful. The fact that the Camaro is as fast as the most powerful Shebly makes it impressive while the least powerful Nissan is the slowest. The 370Z is however the best-handling machine here while the Camaro is the second-best and is thrilling to drive.
This is not where the Chevy Camaro ZL1 excels. The Camaro ZL1 puts out a fuel economy of 14 mpg in the city, 19 on the highway, and a combined efficiency of 16 mpg. The supercharged V8 is definitely a fuel guzzler and the ZL1 is among the least efficient machines in the segment. The higher capacity fuel tank does enable the ZL1 to achieve an overall range above 300 miles, but that is also not very much.

The Nissan 370Z NISMO is the most efficient one here. The most powerful Shelby GT500 is actually very much efficient considering its power output. The Challenger is lesser efficient while the Camaro has the most disappointing efficiency numbers. The Nissan with the better efficiency has the highest range while the Shelby with the lowest capacity fuel tank provides the least range.
The 2014 Chevy Camaro ZL1 comes with a premium interior made up of high-quality materials. The cabin is simple and pleasant-looking and everything is placed ergonomically and nicely. The seats are covered in leather with suede microfiber accents while the front seats are also heated. The steering wheel is leather-wrapped and looks and feels nice. The cabin of the Camaro ZL1 is an overall nice place to be in.
The front sport buckets are spacious and comfortable while opting for the Recaro performance buckets with rear folding with trunk pass-through would make them look more sporty. The rear row is, however, cramped and wouldn’t be able to seat adults. The cargo area however is adequately spacious for a high-performance coupe and it could accommodate your luggage in moderate long trips.

The 2014 Dodge Challenger SRT8 Coupe is the king/queen in terms of interior space. It has a spacious second row that could accommodate adults unlike the other coupes here. The Nissan is the smallest one here as it doesn’t have a second row and has tiny space provided for cargo. The Challenger also boasts the best cargo area and it is the best option here in terms of interior quality as well as space. The following are the standout interior features in the 2014 Camaro ZL1-

The Ford Shelby GT500 is the most powerful machine here and it still offers better fuel efficiency compared to the Camaro. The Camaro however has a more sporty interior along with slightly better handling. But still, the Shelby is the overall better package for the price paid.
The 2014 Dodge Challenger SRT8 is the most practical and spacious option compared to the competitors. It also offers better fuel efficiency compared to the Camaro. But the Camaro is faster, more powerful, and more agile. So it is a choice between comfort and drivability between these, and you choose according to your preference.
The 2014 Nissan 370Z NISMO is the non-muscle car on this list. It is less powerful than the Camaro while being much more agile, nimble, and engaging to drive. The Nissan is also the least expensive one. The Camaro however is more spacious and offers a higher-quality interior while also being faster and more powerful. A choice among these would be subjective to individual taste.
The Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 is an amazing car offered at a superb price point for 2014. It gets a powerful engine under the hood combined with a slick-shifting manual transmission and outputs impressive performance. The interior is also spacious and comfortable while the ZL1 also looks super-good from the outside. Overall, the Camaro ZL1 is among the best cars in this segment.
