The cars in the compact-car segment often show a lot of signs of cost-cutting, and most of it is seen in the interiors of such cars. Hard plastics and somewhat rough touches are clear signs of such cost-cuttings. However, the Cruze offers a nice pleasant interior with its two-tone color scheme and hence looks more upmarket than the competition. The cabin is well organized and is very quiet. You have a lot of adjustments available, from the steering wheel as well as the seat to give you the seating posture you need.
Though most of the interior is simple in nature, it is very practical and usable. Comfort-wise, the front row seats are comfortable, and so are the rear seats. You can have a tall person driving the car and a tall person sitting behind him comfortably, without any issues. The only thing that could be worth a complaint was the width. It is not easy to fit 5 passengers in this car comfortably.

The Cruze does well at comfort for both the seat rows, but it is the interior spacing of the Corolla that provides a lot of space for the passengers. None of the cars come close to the corolla in terms of second-row leg space. When considering cargo capacity, the Cruze’s 15 cubic feet trunk is massive for a car of these proportions. The Civic and the Corolla have the usual range of trunk sizes that we usually see on cars of this segment. Some standout interior features on the Cruze include:
- Cruise Control
- Power steering
- Keyless entry
- Tilt and Telescopic Adjustable Steering Wheel
- Heated front seats
