The SEL trim is the one to go for as it offers the added premium features over the base trim, including 1st-row heated bucket seats, 10-way power driver’s seat with power recline and lumbar, 6-way power passenger seat with manual recline and lumbar, Dual-zone electronic automatic temperature control, MyFord Touch with two 4.2" configurable LCD displays in the instrument cluster, and 8" LCD touch screen along with other features. It is still significantly cheaper than the top-end trim, so it would be the best option.

The Ford Flex comes in three trims. There is one standard engine option, which is a V6 engine outputting 285 hp and 255 lb-ft. The Limited trim can be equipped exclusively with a turbocharged EcoBoost V6, which generates 355 hp and 350 lb-ft of torque. The base-level SE trim starts at $30,900, while the mid-level SEL trim is available for $33,300. The high-end Limited trim costs $39,200. All trims come with the same 6-speed automatic gearbox, while AWD can opt with the SEL and Limited trims.
