The Premium trim starts at $35,100 and comes with a lot of standard features, including 18-inch alloy wheels, dual-zone automatic climate control, leather upholstery, a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, 10-way power driver seat, four-way power passenger seat, heated front seats, and a ventilated driver seat, 8-inch touchscreen display, and a lot more. This would be the ideal option to choose as the more expensive Limited trim doesn’t justify its increased price.

The Cadenza is limited to a top speed of 155 mph. The Cadenza is a fun-to-drive machine, even though it looks large, the feel of driving it across town is like that of a much smaller car which is good. It's got a bit firm suspension which delivers quite a bumpy ride in the town, but while cruising, it is really comfortable.

The Chevy is the most powerful of the lot, outputting 305 hp and 264 lb-ft, followed by the Cadenza that outputs 293 hp and 255 lb-ft, whereas the Avalon produces 268 hp and 248 lb-ft of power and torque, respectively. The Kia Cadenza has a cabin with leather-trimmed seats, which are comfortable and supportive. The materials and elements in the interior are top-notch, but not as plush and luxurious as some of its rivals.

There is enough amount of space on the interior of the cabin, but it is not as spacious as the top dogs of the segment. The interior also features a plethora of high-tech features. The interior has a wood grain style trim all over. The sedan comes with a cargo capacity of 15.9 cubic feet.

The Chevrolet is the most spacious on the interior, followed by the Toyota Avalon and the Cadenza. The Kia has the least front and rear legroom, while the Avalon and the Chevy have much more. When it comes to cargo capacity, the Impala offers the most that is 18.8 cu-ft, while the Avalon offers 16.0 cu-ft and the Kia offers a cargo space measuring 15.9 cu-ft. The 2014 Kia Cadenza looks sporty and elegant, but the front end with a bizarre grille takes away all the glory and makes it look a bit ugly from the front. The exterior features 18 or 19-inch alloy wheels according to the trim chosen, and they look nice.

The side profile also looks good, but nothing to be very excited about. It doesn’t have a wow factor in the exterior section. The Kia Cadenza weighs 3,668 lbs, which is on the lower side of the competition. The Cadenza has a ground clearance of 5.4 inches.

The Chevy Impala weighs the most, weighing in at 3,800 lbs, followed by the Kia which weighs a lower 3,668 lbs, followed by the Avalon that weighs 3,461 lbs. Although not as luxurious and spacious as its rivals, the Cadenza is a truly capable and powerful full-size sedan offering good ride quality, safety, and comfort features.
