Overall Rating
The 2014 Lexus ES 350 is the standard-bearer for a comfortable, relaxed, and poshly insulated car. But the competition has become a lot more significant in this segment.
The 2014 Lexus ES 350 is the standard-bearer for a comfortable, relaxed, and poshly insulated car. But the competition has become a lot more significant in this segment, and the ES does not remain the only available option. Like the original ES, the 2014 Lexus ES 350 is a spacious entry-level luxury sedan focused on customers who value comfort, calm, and premium offerings above all else.
There’s only one trim on offer, and we do recommend getting this car with the extra packages that are on offer. We feel that the package option is a personal choice, and hence you can go for any depending on how much you need. Also, among the stand-alone options: adaptive cruise control with a pre-collision system, a blind-spot warning system, a lane-departure warning system, and front and rear parking sensors are essential to one-up your safety inside.

The ES 350 comes with a single engine option, a 3.5 L V6 that makes 268 hp @6200 rpm and 248 lb.-ft @4200 rpm. This is a very refined and powerful engine, and we loved the way it delivers power.
This car is mated to a brilliant 6-speed automatic transmission and is a front-wheel-drive car. The sedan takes 7.1 seconds to reach the 60 mph mark and 15.1 seconds to cover a quarter-mile.

The ES 350’s performance falls behind when compared to its rivals. It actually is slower than the other two by a second, and we’re sure many people who buy this car won’t really worry about that. It clocks a 0-60 mph in about 7.1 seconds, with the quarter-mile coming up in 15.1 seconds. It is the 300 that is the star of this show with its high numbers. The E-Class is quicker than the ES 350 on the quarter-mile by 0.5 seconds.
The Lexus has really good mileage and economy, and it is among the best in this class. For an entry-level luxury sedan, the Lexus does really well and has excellent range numbers. The ES 350’s numbers stand at 21 mpg in the city and 31 mpg on the highway, which are rather impressive. Combined, the sedan stands at 24 mpg.

The ES 350 suffers from a small tank capacity problem. It has pretty decent numbers for a luxury-class sedan, but the small tank causes range issues. The range stands at 361.2 miles in the city and 533.2 on the highway. The E-Class tops this comparison with the highest range on paper. It does 443 miles in the city and a class-leading 600+ miles on the highway. The 300 finds the middle ground, although its city mileage is less compared to the other two.
The 2014 ES 350’s interior has premium written all over it. The ambiance is modern and very stylish. We have wood trim inserts in the car, and the quality makes it look like real wood. The tech-rich interior has an analog clock in the center, which is a very classy touch.
This is one of the best interiors to be in when compared in the segment. The richness of the material depends on what you choose for the interior, i.e., leather or Nuluxe vinyl. On both of them, the finish is top-notch, and one could not ask for anything less. The sedan offers a cargo capacity of 15.2 cubic feet.

There is ample space in the interior of the car, and 6 feet tall people will be comfortable in the front seats. The rear-seat legroom is very impressive, though the headroom can be less for tall people. The Chrysler is a little bigger in this regard. The trunk offers 15.2 cubic feet of space, which is average for this class. However, the Chrysler 300 offers a tad bit more trunk storage. The rear seats of the ES 350 do not fold down. Important interior features include-
The infotainment system on the ES 350 is a little complicated due to the vast variety available. As standard fitment, you get Safety Connect emergency communications, Bluetooth phone and audio connectivity, an eight-speaker sound system with CD player, satellite radio, an auxiliary audio jack, and an iPod/USB audio interface. A Display Audio package adds a 7-inch central screen, a Remote Touch electronics interface, Siri Eyes Free, and an upgraded sound system with HD radio.
The other Navigation package includes all of the Display Audio items plus a navigation system, a larger 8-inch display screen, voice controls, surround-sound audio processing, enhanced Bluetooth connectivity, and the Enform suite of smartphone-connected apps and concierge services. A 15-speaker Mark Levinson surround-sound audio system can be added to the Navigation package. Some standout infotainment features include:
The 2014 Lexus ES 350 gets HID headlights as standard, and the fog lights use LED lighting. The new ES 350 is handsome and has a graceful look to it from all angles. It has a sharp look at the front. There are chrome accents all around the car, and it suits very well.
The sharpness has given the car a somewhat sportier look. The car looks very proportionate from the front and the rear. The car has a total length of 192.7 inches. It is 71.7 inches wide, 57.1 tall, and has a wheelbase of 111 inches.

With all the upgrades, it has got amazing features, is a very safe and practical car, and is decent in performance as well. The car is specific towards a certain group of audience, and it has everything to get them interested. We believe that for what the Lexus offers, it makes a strong case for itself and is worth every penny.
