The 2014 Rolls-Royce Wraith is available only in one trim level as Rolls-Royce does not ever skimp on features to introduce a lower trim. It is a rather large four-passenger two-door coupe. Standard equipment includes self-leveling air suspension, 20-inch wheels, power closing rear-hinged doors, leather upholstery and trim, 10-way power-adjustable front seats with driver memory settings, 18 speaker sound system with satellite radio, digital music storage, and so on.

The Rolls-Royce Wraith is powered by a 6.6L V12 engine that is twin-turbocharged and connected to an eight-speed ‘satellite guided’ automatic transmission. This means that the car takes in inputs regarding the location, traffic conditions, terrain, driving style, and so on to select the right gear for that situation. It produces 624 hp and 590 pound-feet of torque right from 1,500 RPM, which makes the Wraith swift enough to reach 60 mph in just 4.4 seconds. Although this number is not exactly impressive in today’s world, it takes one by surprise just how smoothly the car delivers this power and propels passengers quickly while in utmost comfort.

After looking at the spec sheets, one does not doubt the strength of Rolls-Royce’s powertrain. The V12 engine is very powerful but so are the engines used in its rivals. Bentley has the most powerful engine in terms of horsepower, but the Mercedes has the most powerful engine in terms of torque. The Mercedes also returns the best 0 to 60 mph figures of its class. The Rolls-Royce covers the 0 to 60 mph sprint in just 4.4 seconds and the quarter-mile in just 13.3 seconds. The Bentley and Mercedes are, however, faster to both the 60 mph mark as well as the quarter-mile mark.
Not that it would bother somebody buying Rolls-Royce, but the Wraith has a rather poor fuel efficiency figure. It returns an EPA estimated 12 MPG in the city, 19 MPG on the highway, and 15 MPG in the combined cycle. Along with the fuel tank with a rather large capacity of 24 gallons, it returns a range of 336 miles inside the city and 576 miles on the highway.

The Rolls-Royce takes a hit when it comes to fuel efficiency and range due to its gas-guzzling powertrain. The Mercedes is the most fuel-efficient by virtue of its lighter body. Bentley has intelligently put itself in the same territory as the Mercedes with a comparatively frugal power plant. Both the Bentley and Mercedes have 23.8-gallon fuel tanks, which is larger than Rolls-Royce's 21.9-gallon tank.
The interiors of the Rolls-Royce are beyond luxury and opulence. Hand-stitched leather and lacquered wood give the cabin a touch of class, while metallic accents beautifully highlight the magnificent designs inside. Add to this the fact that it can be customized from the ground up, and you start to realize why the car is truly exclusive.
The seats are extremely spacious, especially the rear seats, which have power adjustments, heating, and ventilation, as well as stuff like ankle-deep wool carpets, make it truly one of the best spaces you can spend time in. The trunk space is just okay at 16.6 ft.³, although it definitely does look much bigger on the outside.

The Rolls-Royce truly sets itself apart in terms of the interior space offered. All cars go with four-seater layouts that offer the most luxury. The Rolls-Royce also offers the highest cargo space of its category despite that being atrociously low individually. Out of the cabins, no matter how luxurious the rivals are, it is Rolls-Royce that is ultimately the best. Some of its interior features include:
The infotainment unit in Rolls-Royce is coming from its sister concern, BMW. It imparts certain technologies from BMW’s iDrive system for its infotainment and benefits from the technology borrowed. It is very impressive and user-friendly. Even though it faced a bit of backlash for borrowing the BMW system, it is quite a big upgrade from previous generation Rolls-Royce cars. It adds a lot of luxury to the controls and switchgear. Few standout infotainment features available are-
The Rolls-Royce Wraith is perhaps the most stunning Rolls-Royce in the market. It features the classiest British design of recent times and has a certain appeal to it that speaks both luxury and dynamism.
The coupe silhouette does wonders to translate Rolls-Royce design language to a more sporty package. It measures 208.1 inches in length, 76.7 inches in width, and 59.3 inches in height. It has a very long wheelbase of 122.5 inches.

One can see that all cars in the segment are quite large, but the Rolls-Royce is truly a class apart in terms of size. But it is surprising to see that Mercedes is the one that offers the lowest ground clearance. The Bentley looks larger than the Mercedes but not in terms of dimensions. The Bentley has the shortest wheelbase and overall length and is almost the heaviest. Some of its standout exterior features include:
Cars like the Wraith, which are very expensive, are generally not crash-tested by the IIHS and the NHTSA. That is not to say that these cars are not safe as it packs a lot of amazing technology that includes antilock disc brakes, stability and traction control, front and rear parking sensors, airbags, ABS, and so on. Some standout safety features include:
The 2014 Rolls-Royce Wraith is the resurrection of a name that was once produced by the company. It had high hopes riding on it and it delivered in the best way possible. With this car, we can see a vehicle that is truly in line with the vision of its founder, Sir Henry Royce. It is not just a Ghost Sedan packed in a smaller package but a whole car itself, and one that truly deserves the attention of a luxury coupe buyer.
