The 2015 Chrysler Town and Country comes equipped with a 3.6-liter V6 engine that puts out a maximum power of 283 hp and a maximum torque of 260 lb-ft. The engine's power is transferred to the front wheels through a 6-speed shiftable automatic transmission. The Town and Country reaches 60 mph in 7.7 seconds and crosses the quarter-mile mark in 16 seconds, which are pretty good numbers considering the size and segment. The acceleration is pretty strong, but the gearbox can feel clunky during shifts on occasions.

With a 3.6 L V6 under its hood putting out 283 hp and 260 lb-ft, the Chrysler launches to 60 mph in 7.7 seconds and crosses the quarter-mile mark in 16 seconds. The Kia and Honda follow with power outputs of 276 hp and 248 hp, respectively. The Odyssey and Sedona take an identical 7.9 and 16.1 seconds to complete a 0-60 mph sprint and quarter-mile dash.
In the minivan segment, the Town and Country doesn’t deliver any mind-blowing numbers in terms of fuel efficiency. The Chrysler Town and Country delivers a fuel-efficiency of 17 mpg in the city, 25 on the highway, and 20 mpg of combined fuel economy. The Town and Country gets a 20-gallon fuel capacity outputting a range of 340 miles in the city, 500 on the highway, and a combined range of 400 miles.

The Sedona has the biggest fuel capacity of 21.1 gallons, followed by the Odyssey and Chrysler with 21.0 and 20-gallon fuel capacities. The Sedona and the Town and Country deliver an identical combined range of 400 miles, followed by the Honda Odyssey providing a higher 462 miles of combined range.
The Town and Country provides a not so spacious interior with an upscale cabin. The materials in the lower trims are of good quality, even though some elements might seem a bit finicky, whereas the higher trims feature proper luxury and high-quality materials. There is good amounts of space and comfort offered in the first row seats, while the second row lacks legroom, whereas the third row offers a cramped and awkward seating position.
But as is very usual in three-row vehicles, except for some very rare cases, the third row can be left for children or to accommodate more luggage. The cabin features dual-zone climate control and the seats are covered in leather in the lower trims, whereas in the higher trims, the upholstery features materials, including perforated leather, Black Torino leather, Nappa, leather with Alcantara, and Suede Inserts.

The competition is all in a similar territory in terms of front row space. When it comes to second-row space, the Chrysler seriously lacks legroom compared to the competition, and in the third row, the Chrysler again has the least legroom. At the same price as the Touring L trim of the Town and Country that offers just 32.7 inches of legroom, the Odyssey’s EX-L trim provides a drastically increased 42.4 inches of legroom. When it comes to cargo capacity, the Honda has the most of 38.4 cu-ft, followed by the Kia Sedona with 33.9 cu-ft and the Chrysler with 33.0 cu-ft of the cargo area. Major interior features include-

It is equipped with Bluetooth, Aux, and USB Connectivity along with a satellite radio. As for audio, there is a 6-speaker audio system present as standard in the lower trims, while the higher trims feature nine amplified speakers with a subwoofer and a 506-watt amplifier. The higher-end audio system sounds great. Few key infotainment features of the minivan are-
The Town and Country looks plain and dumb like a traditional mini-van, and there is nothing to be excited about in the exterior of this Chrysler. The design and exterior elements remain pretty much unchanged. The side profile features 17" alloy wheels in different styles and finishes across different trims. The front end has a horizontally lined chrome grille and HID headlamps along with LED DRLs and fog lamps.

The new Chrysler Town and Country comes equipped with many standard safety features for keeping its huge body and a large number of passengers safe, including ABS, advanced multistage driver and front-passenger airbags with low-risk deployment feature, side-curtain for outboard occupants in all three rows, front seat-mounted side and driver’s inflatable knee blocker airbag along with other high tech safety features. NHTSA has given the Town and Country a rating of four stars, while IIHS gives it a ‘Good’ for moderate front overlap, side crash protection, and roof strength. These impressive safety scores ensure that the Town and Country is a safe vehicle. It stops from 60 mph at a distance of 120 ft which is also impressive. Few salient safety features of the Town and Country are-
The 2015 Chrysler Town and Country is not the best option in the segment. It is one of the most powerful ones, yes but not the most spacious or comfortable one. It is also not the best-looking nor does it have a competitive price. The Town and Country is not what you need to aim for if you are planning to get a minivan.
