The Infiniti Q40 has an upscale cabin with enough space on the inside. The materials and trims inside the cabin cannot be considered as luxurious as many among the competition, but still, they are of good quality. Infiniti has compromised the more luxurious interior they used to offer for a more powerful engine and good fit and finish.
Another con of the cabin is that it is not properly noise-isolated, and the engine and road noise do creep in excessively, hindering a peaceful journey. There is enough room in both rows, and the seats are comfortable, supportive, and covered in leather. The Q40 gets a cargo capacity of 13.5 cu-ft.

The interior space of the compared cars is very competitive, but the Lexus among them is the clear winner as it offers a phenomenal amount of legroom in the rear row. The Lexus does fall a little short on legroom in the front row, while it offers a whole lot more of it in the second row. The Infiniti has the most legroom in the front row and is in second place when it comes to the legroom in the second row. The Lexus again offers the best cargo space also, measuring 15.2 cu-ft, followed by the Infiniti and Acura offering a cargo area of 13.5 and 13.2 cu-ft, respectively. Few key features include-
The new Infiniti Q40 features a huge 7-inch color driver information display and a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment unit equipped with lane guidance and 3D graphics along with Bluetooth phone and audio connectivity and USB ports. A 6-speaker audio system is standard in the Q40, whereas a more premium Infiniti's Studio-on-Wheels Bose 10-speaker Premium Audio System with 3-way component front door speakers with 10-inch subwoofers and a parcel shelf-mounted subwoofer is available for an added premium. Other important infotainment features include:
The 2015 Q40 looks almost the same as the G37 it replaces, with minor exterior design changes. There’s nothing to be excited about the design language of this sedan as it looks like a traditional Infiniti sedan.
Infiniti really has to get their design game updated as this doesn’t look like a new or refreshed machine but like something that has been tweaked a bit with very minor exterior modifications. The Q40 has a frowning stance with the projector headlamps seeming like they are trying to scare you. The Q40 has a ground clearance of 4.9 inches.

The new Infiniti Q40 comes with a lot of standard safety features, which include an Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD) along with Infiniti Advanced Air Bag System (AABS), which includes dual-stage front supplemental airbags with seat belt sensors and an occupant classification sensor, front seat-mounted side-impact supplemental airbags, roof-mounted curtain side-impact supplemental airbags for front, and rear-seat outboard occupant head protection. The Q40 has not been crash-tested by NHTSA or IIHS, however, the safety features list is long to be relieved about the safety. Major safety features include-
The 2015 Infiniti Q40 is a powerful car with dynamic handling and impressive acceleration and comes with a plethora of standard features. But that's where the factor of joy ends. It delivers below-average fuel efficiency and an interior that is surely spacious but not as luxurious as many of its rivals in the segment. So if what you want is a comparatively cheaper but impressively powerful car with agile handling and you’re ready to neglect the above-mentioned cons, then the Infiniti would be a good choice for you, otherwise, there are much better options available in the segment.
