Kia has proven its brilliance with its active presence in almost all the vehicle segments in the market. It is back once again with its full-size luxury sedan, the K900 for the 2015 model year.
The Kia K900 sedan is offered in an extremely well-appointed form and comes in two trim levels, Premium and Luxury. The sedan features a standard 5.0liter V8 motor and a standard RWD layout. The Premium trim is priced at $54,500 and offers a handsome list of features some of which are adaptive xenon headlights, power-folding mirrors with auto-dimming, heated and ventilated front seats, heated rear outboard seats, a ski pass-through opening in the rear seats, and a power rear sunshade. The Luxury trim is priced at $59,900 and offers some excellent features which include real wood trim, a 17-speaker Lexicon surround-sound audio system, a different gear selector design, a credit card-sized smart key, and upgraded leather upholstery. Some of the optional features include soft-closing doors, a 12-way power-adjustable driver seat, ventilated and reclining outboard rear seats with lumbar support, a virtual instrument panel, a driver head-up display, a 360-degree top-down parking camera system, adaptive cruise control, a frontal collision warning system, and additional pre-collision safety features.

We would recommend you the Premium trim since it already offers a handsome set of features. You can further upgrade it with the available optional features mentioned above.
The Kia K900 is powered by a standard naturally-aspirated 5.0liter V8 motor. The motor is tuned to deliver a maximum of 420 horsepower and 376lb-ft of torque. The power figures are excellent for the price tag the sedan carries and is decent for a premium luxury sedan.
The engine carries the genes of Hyundai engineering through its excellent refinement levels and strong power delivery. City driving, as well as highway cruising, is effortless while if you wish to do some enthusiastic driving, the powertrain has got you covered too. The fantastic 8-speed automatic gearbox shifts up and down quickly and precisely, enhancing the overall driving experience. The sedan can complete the 0-60mph dash within 5.7 seconds.

The Acura RLX has a smaller V6 motor and a much lower power output figure as well but carries a similar price tag as the K900 and the Hyundai Genesis sedan. The Hyundai Genesis offers the best power figures at a lower price than the K900 sedan.
The Kia K900 offers a decent mileage considering its performance and power figures. The city mileage is rated at 15mpg and the highway mileage is rated at 23mpg. The combined mileage is a decent 18mpg.

The Acura RLX has the lowest power and performance figures as well as a smaller V6 motor too hence it has a much better fuel economy than the Kia K900 and the Hyundai Genesis combined.
The cabin of the Kia K900 is quite a nice place to be for long hours. The interior design has been heavily inspired by the design cues of Mercedes-Benz and BMW. The optional features further enhance the luxury experience by offering features such as soft-closing doors and reclining rear seats. The heavily lacquered and glittering interior wood trims look nice but might feel like plastic to some.
The overall fit and finish levels are respectable and come close to the much-established luxury sedans in the market. The infotainment controller looks like BMW’s iDrive system but is overly complex and can be distracting while driving. There are some missing features such as a rear-seat entertainment system or audio controls, which would’ve been better. The front seats are extremely comfortable with power adjustments and the rear seats are more comfortable than the front seats, providing a fatigue-free and comfortable long trip.

The Acura RLX is more compact than the K900 and has lesser cabin space too but the comfort levels are commendable and comes very close to the K900. The Hyundai Genesis is the most spacious and luxurious one among the three on the list.
Some interior features are:
The Kia K900 has an excellent infotainment system and sets the sedan on par with the German counterparts. The infotainment system comes with a big 9.2-inch display stacked at the middle of the dashboard with center-stack mounted controls. The controls are overly cluttered and can cause a significant amount of distraction while driving. The features include Kia's Uvo voice command system, Bluetooth phone, and audio connectivity, a navigation system, and a 14-speaker audio system with a CD player, an iPod/USB interface, and satellite and HD radio.
Highlighted infotainment system features are:
The Kia K900 has all the classic design cues of a luxury sedan but apart from its front grille design, it fails to gain the attention it requires to stand-out from the crowd. It has a long hood, rides on 19-inch chrome wheels, and has a short yet high trunk-lid.
The front end looks quite premium with a pair of quad-LED headlights while the side profile will remind you of the BMW 7 Series sedan. The chrome lining around the front and rear windows give the side profile the mandatory premium touch it deserves.

The Acura RLX is shorter and compact than both the Genesis and the K900 but looks the best among the three with its own distinctive styling rather than the German-inspired styling cues of the K900. The Hyundai Genesis has a stately appeal to its exterior design and looks a bit aggressive too with narrow and angular headlamps and a wide front grille.
Owing to the luxury status and low sales volume of the K900, it does not carry any safety ratings from both the NHTSA and the IIHS. It comes with several safety aids to ensure the safety of the occupants and the features include antilock disc brakes, traction and stability control, front and rear seat side airbags, full-length side curtain airbags, front and rear view cameras, and Uvo eServices that has emergency assistance and teen-oriented monitoring features such as curfew, speed and geo-fencing. The optional safety features include blind-spot monitoring system, rear cross-traffic alert and a lane departure warning system.
Highlighted safety features of the K900 are:
The Kia K900 offers a compelling package at an attractive price point and suits the best to those who need comfort more than exterior appeal. The sedan offers almost all the creature comfort features you can expect from a luxury sedan and has a strong performance as well as excellent safety features as well.
