The Cadillac XTS is offered in a long list of trim options and it actually makes a buyer spoilt for choices. However, we would recommend you to go for the Premium Collection trim if performance is your second option else, the V-Sport Premium Twin Turbo is the one to go for.
The Cadillac XTS sedan is powered by a standard V6 powerplant and the same motor is fitted with a twin-turbocharging system to offer a higher power output and performance in the V-Sport Twin Turbo trim. In its naturally aspirated form, the motor generates a maximum of 304 horsepower and 264lb-ft of torque. In general, the performance is adequate for regular usage and highway cruising too.
The sedan can complete the 0-60mph run within 7-3 seconds which is at par with the rivals in the segment. The motor itself is quite refined and delivers power in a linear manner while the 6-speed automatic transmission tackles the gearshifts seamlessly.

Both the Lexus GS 350 and the Genesis G80 sedan offer better overall performance than the XTS sedan while the Genesis G80 offers a superb price-to-performance ratio among the rivals on the list. The Lexus GS 350 is the most pricey one on the list and we feel, its performance is not justified given its price-tag.
Modern luxury sedans are both ultra-luxurious and fuel-efficient at the same time. The Cadillac XTS sedan offers an impressive 18mpg within the urban limits while out on the highways, the number climbs to 28mpg. The combined mpg is rated at 22.

The Lexus GS 350 offers excellent fuel economy despite being more powerful than the XTS sedan. The Hyundai G80 is the least fuel-efficient one on the list owing to its bigger powertrain unit and heavier curb weight.
The Cadillac XTS sedan comes with a heavily-loaded interior and offers some cutting-edge technologies to enhance the overall ownership experience of the sedan. The sedan just has oodles of space at the rear and will hardly give any scope for complaints by the rear passengers. Starting from the fine and high-quality leather trims to the deluxe center arm with power sunshade and audio controls, the sedan offers some of the best comfort and convenience features in the segment.
The seats are extremely comfortable with the front seats getting a memory function and heating function as well. The 18 cubic feet of trunk capacity is among the highest in the segment and can gobble up enough luggage for four people with ease.

The Lexus GS 350 has an extremely comfortable and feature-rich cabin too with acres of space inside and high-quality cabin materials. The Genesis G80 sedan has the best headroom for the front passenger and driver and for the rear passengers too.Â
The Cadillac XTS sedan’s infotainment system has enough features to keep everyone entertained for hours and comes with a standard 8-inch color touchscreen display which is handled by Cadillac’s CUE user interface.
The system incorporates some basic and handy features such as Apple CarPlay smartphone integration, Android Auto, and OnStar telematics. Some additional standard features include voice controls and an eight-speaker Bose sound system with a CD player, satellite radio, HD radio, USB connectivity, and auxiliary audio input.
Some important features of the infotainment system include:
The Cadillac XTS can be described in three simple words: A big sedan. Its dimensions are more than enough to overshadow some of its rivals and all this monstrosity leads to a positive aspect, an extremely spacious cabin. The sedan can be a headache in congested areas and tight parking spots in a rush-hour but the abundance of parking sensors and an automated parking system make things easier with a mere touch of some buttons.
The front-end design of the sedan is slightly on the aggressive side and the LED headlamp units look spectacular especially with the front grille design. There are tasteful chrome inserts along the window borders and it is also found on the front fascia as well as on the rear-end too.

The Lexus GS 350 is also a big sedan but is shorter and lighter than the Cadillac XTS but has a similar ground clearance. The roofline of the GS 350 is lower than the XTS but it doesn’t cut into the cabin’s headroom for passengers. The Genesis G80 is almost as long as the XTS sedan but has a much longer wheelbase than the latter and it is wider than the Caddy too.
The Cadillac XTS is not only supremely comfortable but quite safe as well. The sedan earned some exceptional safety ratings from both the federal crash tests and the IIHS. The NHTSA gave the sedan a top 5-star rating on all of its test parameters while the IIHS gave it their best possible “Good” rating. The IIHS also gave the optional frontal collision warning and mitigation system a “Superior” rating as well. Some of the standard safety aids of the sedan include antilock disc brakes, stability control and traction control, front and rear-seat side airbags, side curtain airbags, and front knee airbags along with OnStar telematics for emergency services. Some of the available safety techs include adaptive cruise control, forward collision alert, and a more advanced forward collision mitigation system with automatic braking.
Some of the highlighted safety features of the sedan are:
The Cadillac XTS sedan has been carefully crafted to offer its buyers a wholesome experience with cutting-edge techs inside the carbon and superior comfort levels. For enthusiasts, the sedan offers a twin-turbo motor that makes over 400 horsepower making the long trips less boring. The sedan also comes with some excellent safety scores and safety aids to help keep the occupants from any harm’s way in an emergency situation. Overall, if you desire to shell out for a premium sedan that offers the best of both worlds, performance, and comfort, the Cadillac XTS would make an excellent option.
