The 2016 Jetta is based on Volkswagen Platform A5 (PQ35), which it shares with the Golf Mk6. It is speculated that the name 'Jetta' comes from the Atlantic 'jet stream,' since during this period, Volkswagen was naming its cars after major winds and currents of the world. The big stories are in Jetta's powertrains. A new base 1.4-liter turbo four-cylinder engine accounts for six different trims—versions of the S, SE, and SEL levels—while the 1.8T Sport and the Jetta are their own trim levels. Finally, the Jetta GLI 2.0T has two of its own trim levels, SE and SEL.
Moving to the technical details, the sedan comes with a decent number of features, which include 17-inch alloy wheels, adaptive bi-xenon headlights, LED taillights, keyless entering, a start/stop button, 6-way power-adjustable driver's seat, heated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, Bluetooth connectivity, 6-speaker audio system, multifunction steering wrapped in leather, a navigation system, a 5-inch screen for the infotainment system with a graphical status display, a rear parking camera and an only power gauge in place of a tachometer that measures the efficiency of the driving.

We recommend
The recommended trim of the Jetta would be SEL trim, since it uncovers a plethora of intricacies along with some practical fitting features at an optimum price. However, the car does have almost all the features and options one might need in a car at this price point, with only a few modern safety features missing.
