The new Ferrari GTC4Lusso is the first and only four-wheel-drive car from the brand Ferrari. It is assembled with grand touring machines and is laden with high-tech features ready to rival any of its high-end supercars.
The new Ferrari GTC4Lusso is the first and only four-wheel-drive car from the brand Ferrari. It is assembled with grand touring machines and is laden with high-tech features ready to rival any of its high-end supercars. Having been very sophistically-designed, it packs the performance potential along with superior comfort making it one of the most powerful luxury cars out there.
Since Ferrari is a lot more than it may seem, it certainly is an expensive vehicle. Starting from a price range of $298,000 and can quickly raise the number depending on your preference for stand-alone features and other luxury items. Undoubtedly, it also comes with a powerful engine that boasts of producing 680 horsepower and 514 pound-feet of torque from its 6.3-liter V-12 engine, paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.
There is not much of an option to choose from the Ferrari GTC4 Lusso and the buyers can still add some features to go with the sole base trim.

Since the Ferrari GTC4 Lusso doesn't come with multiple trims, it's easier for buyers to choose the base variant with additional stand-alone features. Some special features include Electric Power Steering and Hands-Free Entry. Standard features include Heated Mirrors, Cruise Control, Keyless Ignition, Front Cupholders among others.

The Ferrari GTC4 Lusso boasts of the familiar 6.3-liter V-12, paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission under its hood. Lusso’s powerful engine delivers 680 horsepower and 514 pound-feet of torque which has been improved from its previous 651 hp. Since it's a Ferrari you'll notice that its engine is much more tractable as it can produce almost 80% of the torque at 1,750 rpm which is the best-in-class.
This engine reminds you how beautiful big naturally aspirated engines are. Once you get it spinning, it just sounds fantastic. It has got to be one of the best-sounding naturally aspirated engines ever.

Bentley, however, leads the race with its mega-powerful W12 engine which can roar with 700 hp and produces 750 lb-ft. of torque. It also works with an 8-speed automatic transmission which works fairly well even on high roads and difficult terrains. Aston Martin DB11 has the same kind of transmission as that of the Bentley Continental and doesn't hesitate to run on sidetracks but it has a less powerful engine compared to its peers and can go up to 552 hp which is okay for its class. The GTC4Lusso finds its place in between them.
Being a car of its class, the Ferrari GTC4Lusso is among the fastest cars in its variant. It is swift from 0-60 mph time of 3.2 seconds and can go up to 208 mph in its top speed. The quarter-mile run is completed in 11.2 seconds. With all the weight of 4,400 pounds, it doesn't affect its performance on the road. Its torque flow is smooth and gives you a seamless experience with its four-wheel-drive system. Since it's added with a two-speed transmission, it gives more power to its front wheels making it more agile.

All the rivals hovered around the same speed with just a few milliseconds of difference. The GTC4Lusso is the quickest in the acceleration test but the Continental Supersports swifts from behind to gain its position in the drag test. The DB11 gets good results in both the tests but doesn’t match the agility of the other two rivals.
Just like its previous avatar F12, the GTC4Lusso comes equipped with a four-wheel-steering system. It is married to the 4RM all-wheel-drive system which incorporates brake-based differential, adjustable dampers, and Ferrari's Slip Side Control feature optimizing handling experience which comes to rescue drivers in bad terrains or snow-covered roads.
The GTC4 Lusso's magnetorheological dampers help drastically to control body roll in sharp turns and it improves grip in a wider range of conditions. It also has an option named 'bumpy road' that allows a little more travel. The Bentley Continental Supersports also gives out fair competition to its peers as it gives a good handling experience with its smooth running steering and adjustable dampers. It makes the ride super comfortable as it has high-class suspensions that prevent excessive body roll.
The Ferrari GTC4Lusso has become quite popular with its shooting-brake concepts. The pedal feels firm and the braking action is perfect. However, it trails far behind its competitors namely Bentley Continental Supersports and Aston Martin DB11 as it performs poorly in panic brake tests. It takes Lusso 132 feet to come to a stop from 60 mph, that's 21 feet more than the Bentley Continental.

The Aston Martin DB11 walks over its peers as it takes mere 105 feet to come to a stop in panic break tests which makes it the best performer in this category. Despite having the heaviest curb weight in this competition, the Continental Supersports takes 111 feet while its lighter rival, the GTC4Lusso takes a sluggish 132 feet in the brake test.
When it comes to mileage, the Ferrari GTC4 Lusso sips unleaded premium fuel but it’s very inefficient on roads. It gives out 12 mpg in the cities,17 mpg on the highway, and 13 mpg combined respectively. It may be a big downside for people who look forward to using the car for everyday use as it would hit hard on their pockets especially after shelling out a huge sum purchasing the GTC4Lusso.

Sitting on top of the efficiency barrel is the Bentley Continental Supersports which gives out a combined 20 mpg of fuel economy which is one of the best in its class. The Aston Martin DB11 also has an average fuel economy but the GTC4Lusso houses the thirstiest engine here. It has a combined mileage of just 13 mpg.
The Ferrari GTC4Lusso is more comfortable and despite the raucous engine, a quieter cruiser. but inside, there’s a beautifully-crafted interior. It looks sharper with subtle updates to the styling. The luxurious GTC4Lusso can easily accommodate four passengers although the rear seats are not that spacious.
There has been a slight upgrade from the previous FF version with the legroom in the rear seat increased to 16mm, but it still feels a bit tighter. However, it could easily fit into kids and short-heighted people. The front seat is quite comfortable, and it makes entry and egress much easier. For shorter journeys, it wouldn't let you complain about its comfortability. Being a duty car, it is a genuinely usable four-seater giving you maximum comfort and driving ability.

Though it isn't a usual thing to have cramped rear seats in these kinds of the luxury vehicle which can be a bit troublesome for large adults trying to fit in with other two passengers at the front but Bentley is a bit better in this category as its legroom and headroom for both rear and front seats is spacious enough to sit comfortably. Some of the interior highlights include:
Though the Ferrari GTC4Lusso projects itself as a luxury vehicle, it lacks the top-notch infotainment features that some of its rivals boast of. But it allows its users to enjoy its centerpiece 10.25-inch touch screen wherein you can swipe between modes, use haptic controls, pinch, and zoom along with the option to have a split-screen view. There’s another screen on the passenger side that measures 8.8 inches. The front passenger can view all the drive models and the infotainment changes on this screen. Few of its infotainment are listed below:
Given its sheer volume, the GTC4Lusso definitely tops the chart with the maximum amount of cargo space. It boasts 15.9 cubic feet of rear space which is higher than that of Bentley Continental Supersports and Aston Martin DB11. The rear seats of the 2017 GTC4Lusso don't fold completely flat but offer a good 28.2 cubic feet.Â

The GTC4Lusso is the most practical car in this competition. With few figures down, the Bentley Continental Supersports stands in second place. Even with rear seats up, the Aston Martin DB11 cannot hold more cargo with its 10.4 cubic feet of cargo which can barely hold your everyday grocery items.
The newer variant of the Ferrari GTC4Lusso has less-cluttered sheet metal compared to its newer counterparts. You'll be amazed to see how finely its rich complexity in the contours has been perfectly balanced to form a new thing as a whole. Just like any other Ferrari model it of course maintains its unique and organic form which flaunts GTC4 Lusso manufacturing prowess with creases and arcs.
It has stylized and swelled fenders which displays a powerful and strong character. However, its massive curb weight may be of some concern but given the agility and performance of the Lusso, its weight doesn't come in its way.

The Bentley Continental Supersports weighs the maximum with a whopping 5027 pounds which some say is a bit of a concern. Whatever charm it may have from the outside, you'll easily notice its mammoth weight coming in the way during steep turns and while parking in limited spaces. Almost all the cars in this category boast the same ground clearance and higher performance.
Due to its pricey factor, the 2017 Ferrari GTC4Lusso doesn’t get any safety ratings from the federal safety agencies. The GTC4Lusso does come with a host of safety features which ups its credibility as a luxurious and performance car. A pair of front and side airbags are also installed to reduce injuries in the event of an accident. Here a list of all the safety equipment that comes with this vehicle.
One thing that Bentley Continental does best to lure in more buyers is by creating an appeal for its world-class interior craftsmanship and customization. It works quite smoothly with its powerful engines. Not only that, the Continental Supersports offers convertible tops for all its variants. However, it lacks the latest advanced safety features and has a very limited spacing in the rear similar to the GTC4Lusso. It also is not as nimble around turns compared to its exotic competitors.
The Aston Martin DB11 makes fantastic sounds with its powerful 5.2-liter twin-turbocharged V12 engine. Its classy interior styling and elegantly seductive design make it one of the most attractive options out there. The luxury car is also very agile and engaging to drive with super smooth handling. You may find the trunk space a tad bit compromised and also is a bit slower than its rivals. The DB11 also lacks many of the latest advanced driver safety aids.
The Ferrari GTC4Lusso is specially designed for the niche market segment that looks for luxurious and exotic vehicles. Flaunting its howling V-12 touring-coupe side of Ferrari heritage which meets the traditional side along with proving one of the best vehicles for civility and being an awe-inspiring faithful hatchback. Even while comparing to its rivals, the Ferrari GTC4Lusso stands out for its practicality and is an engineering marvel. It is a car that is worth checking out if you crave exotic-looking performance vehicles.
