Each Mini Hardtop 2-door trim offers a different engine The base offers a turbocharged 1.5 liter 3 cylinder engine. The Cooper S offers a bigger engine - a turbocharged 2.0 liter inline-4 making, and the JCW offers the same engine with a bigger engine output. The difference can be seen between the three with options offering comes also in the interior and the more premium and performance features offered. 

The MINI Hardtop is powered by a 1.5 liter turbocharged inline 3 cylinder engine which produces 134 hp of power and 162 lb-ft of torque.

The Mini is a lightweight car having a low center of gravity, having all the ingredients of great ride quality. The city ride is great and parking in tight spots isn't a problem for this car. No rival comes near the Mini this parameter, as they all soar way above. The Mini has a trunk volume of 8.7 cu-ft, with the Ford Focus coming a distant third with a space of 14.9 cu-ft, closely followed by the Honda with 16.6 cu-ft. of space. The Versa is the best here with a trunk capacity of 18.8 cu-ft.

Designed with its racy and sporty style, it is one of the best-looking hatchbacks available in the market. The Mini Cooper gets the basics of paints and 16-inch wheel options. Fog lamps are a small additional extra. The Cooper S gets more paint options and more wheel options too with standard 17-inch wheels.

The Mini is marginally more powerful than the Fit and is much better in all performance tests and has better fuel economy. The Honda Fit offers the most space of the above cars making it practical.

We have a preference for the Mini thanks to its driving dynamics but, you won’t go wrong with either.

Mini Hardtop 2 Door vs Nissan Versa Note SV

The Mini Hardtop is more powerful and has better performance than the Nissan Versa Note. The Nissan Versa Note does offer a better range than the Mini and more space.

But, the Mini is pricier and it does get better materials than the Versa. Hence, the winner is the Mini. 

The Mini Hardtop 2 Door is the iconic hatchback. It comes with a good performance engine even in its base model and then the higher trims of S and JCW just keep getting more and more powerful. The hatchback does offer a comfortable interior even though the rear seats are a bit cramped. The infotainment is good and so are the safety features. The best part of the Mini is its driveability, the go-kart feeling that none of its competitors have provided, making it a truly unique car.
