2018 Infiniti QX60 offers both rear wheel drive and four-wheel drive versions, priced at $43,300 and $45,100 respectively. Both run a 3.5-liter V-6 with a continuously variable transmission, all for the ease of driving.
Looking for a luxury long-distance family hauler with three rows of seating? The 2018 Infiniti QX60 with a soft and comfy ride might well be your answer. It seems clear about its intentions and its big doors makes for an easy pass, especially in the third row. The QX60 is ideal for a family on the go, while its exquisite styling and plush interior never look out of place.
For the 2018 model year, Infiniti discontinued the slow-selling QX60 Hybrid, so that leaves us with only one engine specification that is a 3.5-liter V-6 mated to a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT). Acceleration is always on top with the CVT while the V-6 engine provides respectable power and refinement. Its quiet cabin makes for a peaceful interstate drive as well as for daily shopping.
Go with the front-wheel-drive variant if you do not drive in muddy or snowy condition. Premium and Premium Plus package would be commendable additions. You can skip the costly Deluxe Technology package as you would get most of its useful features in the much cheaper Driver Assistance Package.

If you have decided to buy the 2018 Infiniti QX60, then you will have to stick with the sole option of QX60 3.5 trim. The FWD variant comes standard, and is priced at $43,300 while the AWD requires you to pay $1,800 extra. We have already mentioned the standard features in the table, but you can get additional features through the optional package.
Premium package ($1,800) which is one of the least expensive gets you a 13-speaker Bose audio system along with a remote engine start, heated steering wheel, and proximity key. The Premium Plus package bundles the SUV with:
If you want rear-seat entertainment that adds two 8-inch color monitors then you will need to get the Theatre package for $2,150. Meanwhile, last but not the least, the Deluxe Technology package ($7,300) brings an array of niceties such as:

There is only one engine to talk about with the discontinuation of the slow-selling Hybrid model this year. So, now the QX60 comes mated to a 3.5-liter V-6 engine that makes 295 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque. The QX60 gets its CVT from Nissan, its corporate parent. While the gearbox isn't the most sporty, the CVT offers seamless gearshifts and keeps the engine in the optimum powerband. All in all, the QX60's powertrain is potent enough to allow comfortable long-distance cruising and daily city commutes.

The Nissan Pathfinder stands as the least powered offering in the lot while both the Lexus RX and the QX60 have similar power figures while the former generates a bit more torque. The Acura is not far behind though with its equally capable V6. The Pathfinder and the QX60 both come fitted with CVTs, while the Acura MDX gets the best gearbox. The MDX's 9-speed automatic is quick and clever and always manages to keep you in the right gear at the right time.
The 2018 Infiniti QX60 goes from 0 to 60 in 7.6 seconds, which is average for a three-row SUV. It is also not the fastest when it comes to covering a quarter-mile, where the SUV takes 16.0 seconds to cover the distance. However, the QX60's powertrain is capable enough to offer brisk overtakes during daily driving, without making the SUV feel too lethargic or out of breath.

The Acura MDX leads the segment when it comes to accelerating fast and covering a quarter-mile. The Nissan Pathfinder has the lowest performance figures from its age-old powertrain. The Lexus RX 350 is also not far behind the MDX with comparable acceleration times.
Both the front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive offer a balanced ride however there is a lot of body roll as the suspension feels soft and sloppy. The QX60 however is an easy-to-drive crossover and the ride quality makes it feel at home in urban settings. It does come with AWD but that doesn't make it an off-roader and the system is best suited to provide traction.
The 2018 model year Infiniti QX60 delivers a stopping distance of 120-feet, which is better than the average for the segment. The brakes feel strong even after continuous use and the response is never abrupt. The brake pedal comes with a little bit of play, which is acceptable, and the travel feels just right

The Nissan Pathfinder covers the maximum distance before coming to a halt. The Acura MDX comes close to the QX60 in braking distance closely followed by the Lexus RX 350.
Towing and carrying capacity is one of the important factors to consider while buying a proper utility vehicle. Even though the Infiniti QX60 is more of a modern urban cruiser it can tow a decent amount of load behind it if necessary.

With an impressive towing capacity of 5,000-pounds the 2018 Infiniti QX60 can easily tow a caravan or a bowrider. Nissan Pathfinder although has a better towing capacity and costs thousands of dollars less than the Infiniti. So, if you are tight on a budget the Pathfinder is a great option to go for.
Market forces led Infiniti to discontinue the slow-selling QX60 Hybrid model for 2018. This year, Infiniti has offered only one engine option- a 3.5-liter V-6 with FWD and AWD. The 2018 Infiniti QX60 returns a fuel economy figure of 19 MPG in the city and 27 MPG on highways. The result is a combined MPG figure of 22, which is fine. The QX60 is offered with a 19.5-gallon fuel tank, which enables the SUV a driving range of up to 507 miles on the highway.

The QX60's efficiency figures are relatively competitive among the three-row crossover. However, others may outperform. The RX 350 and the Pathfinder both inch slightly forward with their economy within the city. Additionally, the Acura MDX also stands at par with the Infiniti in terms of gas mileage and therefore putting immense pressure on the Infiniti in this regard.
The 2018 Infiniti GX60 comes with a roomy, luxurious cabin that never fails you keep you at comfort. There's plenty of room to wiggle around, and the atmosphere inside the cabin is relaxing and compliant. The 2018 model year QX60's seats offer a good amount of adjustment so the drivers may not have any difficulty in finding the right position. The power lumbar support, however, does not offer positional adjustment. The second-row headrest might obstruct the rearview for the driver but the large window and 360-degree camera make things easy. Despite the idiosyncrasies, the interior is plentifully comfortable and keeps you relaxed during long trips.Â
We must appreciate Infiniti for making the third row easily accessible as the second-row tilts and slides without any fuss. Space isn't too bad at the back either. Regardless of where you're seated, the QX60 keeps you surrounded with high-quality materials that are beautiful to touch and behold. Thanks to the generous use of leather and polished wood, the cabin offers a very upscale feel that matches the QX60's dignified persona. Space is enough for second-row occupants as well, and the rear HAVC vents just make life easier. All in all, while the interior does feel a little dated, it stands vastly comfortable and cushy.Â

The QX60 also does a good job of keeping you isolated from road and wind noise. Both the front and the second-row seats are not soft but they are still comfy and have enough space. There are good head and foot-room in the third row but it is best suited for kids. Among the competition, the Nissan Pathfinder offers the most headroom, while sharing the highest legroom title with the QX60. In the second row, the Pathfinder comes with the most headroom and legroom. The Nissan SUV also offers the most space at the third-row as well, making it the roomiest SUV among the competition. Seating feature includes:
The 2018 Infiniti QX60 comes with decent infotainment aids to keep you well entertained throughout your trip. Offered standard is an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which is user-friendly and easily navigable. Some of the control knobs are high on the dash and require extra effort to reach. Limited smartphone integration is a big letdown, as there is no Android Auto or Apple CarPlay. For music aficionados, Infiniti offers a compelling 8-speaker sound system with the 2018 QX60.Â
The QX60 also offers standard features such as Bluetooth Audio Streaming, USB Ports, and Aux support. A SiriusXM Satellite Radio is also on offer. While the QX60's infotainment system is nothing fancy, it feels sufficient for regular driving needs. However, it would have been much better if Infiniti equipped the SUV with better features such as a larger screen, smartphone integration, Wifi Hotspot, and better speakers. standard feature includes: Some major infotainment features offered with the 2018 Infiniti QX60 include:Â
For a luxury SUV with three-row of seating, the QX60 boasts an average amount of cargo space. It comes with 15.9 cubic feet of cargo space with all seats up while the third-row splits 50/50 and folds to create 40.2-cubic-feet of space. You get a total of 75.8 cubic feet of the cargo hold with all seats down. A power liftgate is standard while a hands-free liftgate comes as optional.

While the Lexus RX 350 offers the best boot capacity with all the seats upright, the Acura MDX is the real champion here with a huge 90 cubic feet cargo space with all the seats folded. With this kind of space, the MDX can carry quite a bit of cargo that is quite surprising for an SUV of this segment. The Pathfinder is not bad either with a respectable 79.8 cubic feet of total cargo space.
The 2018 Infiniti QX60 wears a rounded and sleek look, along with the company's signature headlight sand grille, which works well with the overall design. From the sides, its sloping roof adds to the look but it does not hamper the QX60's striking roomy interior. The overall aesthetic of the QX60 is powerful yet dignified, and the SUV doesn't pretend to be anything it's not. The QX60 features beautiful lines and creases that run along the length of the car.
Both the front and the rear f the SUV are simple yet elegant and feature just the right amount of chrome to get your attention. We love the automaker's signature Z-shape flair in the rearmost roof pillar, which the QX30 also boasts. The QX60 can be opted for with several sets of wheels, but we particularly like the 18-inch triple 5-spoke wheels that resemble those from a 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLE. All in all, the subtly quirky design of the 2018 Infiniti QX60 gets mixed reviews, but we absolutely love the unconventional approach companies like Infiniti and Mazda take with their exterior styling.

The Infiniti QX60 might be a crossover but it reveals how big it is when parked beside a smaller sedan or SUVs. When it comes to dimensions, the QX60 with 200.1-inches in length and 114.2-inches of wheelbase exceeds most in the competition. The QX60 is also the heaviest car in the lot, and comes with the largest dimensions. The Infiniti and the Nissan both offer the longest wheelbase, while the latter comes with higher ground clearance. Some of the standard exterior features include:
The 2018 Infiniti QX60 is a fairly safe vehicle and comes with a good degree of safety features. While the NHTSA has not yet rated the QX60, the IIHS has rated the SUV "Good" for most of its safety tests. However, most of the advanced tech and safety features are bundled into packages, and opting for one of these packages can get expensive. You will need to shed almost $10,000 extra if you want the Top Safety Pick QX60. Other automakers such as Lexus and Acura make some of these features standard. Some key safety features offered with the 2018 Infiniti QX60 include:
The QX60 is a good value for money, but the Acura MDX is a better option. For almost the same price you get additional safety features, including forward collision warning and Automated Emergency Braking. These features are only available in the Infiniti’s QX60 as a $7,300 package. In terms of driving dynamics, the Acura is more engaging to drive than the Infiniti.
There are lots of similarities between the Nissan Pathfinder and the Infiniti QX60. The Infiniti offers you more luxury and comfort, while its V6 engine is more potent than that of the Nissan. The Pathfinder, however, comes with a much lower price tag, which certainly adds a degree of competitiveness to the Nissan. Even the top mode Pathfinder Platinum fitted with a hands-free liftgate, heated front and rear seat, panoramic sunroof, and adaptive cruise control – is less expensive than the base QX60.
Both the QX60 and the RX 350 have an identical base price and are offered in only one trim level. Much like the Infiniti QX60, most of the optional tech features in the Lexus are bundled into pricey packages. The major difference between the two SUVs is that you get seven seats, more rear-seat legroom, and much more cargo space in the QX60. Infiniti and the Lexus both offer V6 engines that deliver similar power and fuel economy. With more space inside, the Infiniti is a clear winner over Lexus.
The 2018 Infiniti QX60 is one of the best value-for-money SUVs in the luxury segment. It fetches for thousands less than other luxury SUVs like the Audi Q7, Volvo XC90, and the Land Rover Discovery and returns a smooth and compliant ride. Fuel economy is impressive and there is lots of space in all the three-rows along with a USB port each. It also earns an excellent crash test rating and boasts a long list of features. The interior feels dated but doesn't miss out on essential comfort and luxury features. Spirited drivers may however find the driving dynamics bland. All in all, the 2018 Infiniti QX60 comes with a weird compromise between power and refinement, technology and comfort. However, if you're looking for a comfortable, luxurious, and reliable SUV under the $45,000 bracket, the Infiniti QX60 offers an excellent alternative to several other SUVs in this price range.
