Overall Rating
The Lexus LC500 which starts at around $92000, does get a bigger engine, which is most powerful among all its rivals. The Lexus isn't the car meant for fuel efficiency as it doesn't get much of it.
If you are in the market for a high-end coupe, the new Lexus LC 500 is unlikely to be on your list. However, with a 5.0L V8 engine producing 471 bhp, an interior blessed with Japanese craftsmanship and quality, and an intriguingly rich exterior, it's a 21st-century grand tourer with no history dragging it down. Still, if you fancy a European Grand Tourer, the Mercedes-Benz S560 comes closest to the Lexus LC 500 in philosophy and price. The Porsche 911, though similarly priced, is more of a proper lithe sports car with comfort approaching that of a grand tourer.
The car is well implemented with some good features and provides all an enthusiast needs with an impressive and powerful engine, viscous wheels. The engine on this car is sufficient and is always ready to provide all the power you need. You can also add most of the advanced features as add-on options to your coupe.

The Lexus houses a big and brawling 5.0L V8 with a direct overhead camshaft, a technology ameliorating the intake response of the new powertrains. That hooked with a VVT setup ensures high accuracy in varied requirements of fuel and air mixtures. Such wised-up technologies may be commonplace in today’s world, but Lexus has something that no other manufacturer can provide. It is the brand promise that follows the extreme competencies of its powertrains that has made Lexus so successful against the arch-rivals like Mercedes-Benz and BMW.
The Lexus LC gets a 5L DOHC V8 VVT-i engine which is the biggest in its segment and comes mated to its 10-speed automatic transmission, which produces a power of 471 hp. Thus, the Lexus is the most powerful car in its segment. The Lexus gets a torque of 398lb-ft, which isn't the best in its segment, but it's surely a fair amount of torque.

On a comparative note, the LC 500 has the highest power output, thanks to the bigger engine. The cost, on the other hand, is at the bottom of the chart, with the most expensive vehicle being the Mercedes-Benz S-560. Besides, the torque offered by the latter is also the highest in comparison.
The Lexus with its 5L engine and the one which has the best power in its class gets a 0-60 mph time of 4.4secs which is the best among all its rivals and gets the Quarter mile time of about 13.2 secs. The Lexus isn't as clean as its rivals as it gets emissions of 9.3 tons/yr. of CO2, and those are the worst emission figures compared to the competitors.

It is obvious that with all this power, the Japanese coupe did a 0-60 MPH run in as low as 4.4 seconds. However, the figures are nonetheless impressive, given the LC 500 is a road-legal luxury coupe. The Mercedes S560 follows very closely with its incredible torque, but still manages 0.1 seconds more than the Porsche 911 Carrera.
There is no significant change in the braking department of this coupe since it needed none. The Lexus just like its engine also gets bigger sets of brakes. It gets a 13.3 in. disc up front and, on the rear, it gets a 12.1 in. disc and weighs over 4280 lbs. making it close to the heaviest car of the class, the Mercedes-Benz S 560.

As expected, the LC 500 is a very heavy coupe, but this entire weight is complemented adequately with the correct assembly of brakes. Even with the best-engineered parts, the Lexus will find it difficult to beat the feathery Porsche with the largest set of brakes on offer.
When embraced in luxury, the ride is what can either ameliorate or sabotage the feel of extreme comfort. For us, it is really pleasing to say that Lexus manages to be more optimistic than the latter. The sport-tuned suspension may seem a little stiff, but the kind of confidence it gives around the curves is aggravating. Perhaps, it may well be the best luxury coupe, which you can even have fun driving around the corners.
In many words, the LC 500 does offer the ride Quality like a luxury car and Handles much of a sports car as the Lexus suggests 'LC' stands for Luxury Coupe, and the LC 500 does stand out its name. The Lexus doesn't get as precise handling like the Porsche gets but does get a better ride quality than the Porsche.
The Lexus gets the worst fuel efficiency figures. It returns about 16mpg in the city conditions, around 26mpg on the highway. And about 19mpg of combined mileage. The car with the best fuel efficiency is the Porsche 911 Carrera.

All this is thanks to the bigger engine situated under the hood of this coupe. But, on second thought, while going for a luxury coupe, one would rather think about the comfort rather than the economy. This though gets the LC 500 past its only drawback.
The Lexus can seat upto 4 people on a trot, with two in each row. With a passenger volume of 85.0 cu-ft., it may seem to contradict, but the LC 500 has an enormous cabin. The beige coloring makes perceiving the capaciousness even more prominent. Coming to comfort, the front row is undoubtedly complacent with excellent cushioning. In addition to the standard electronic alterations, the front seats also feature a massage function. Besides, memorizing the seating positions of upto three occupants is also possible.
Moving towards the rear, the large center armrest running enclosure with the front one separates the two passengers. As is with the front seats, the cushioning is brilliant and there is a good amount of legroom on offer too. The seats can be reclined to a certain angle, but do not feature adjustable lumbar support. Thinking of materials, are you? Well, do not worry since Lexus has a hand-picked inventory for a few customizations that you may prefer over the traditional beige interiors. The premiumness is no compromise whatsoever.

The Lexus gets a 4-seater option. Its passenger volume on offer is around 85.9 ft. cube which theoretically means the car gets more passenger space. It gets a shoulder room of 56.5in., a headroom of 37.2in., and legroom of 42.0in., all these merely translate that the LC 500 is truly spacious in its front row. The Lexus gets a headroom of 32.2in, a shoulder room of 48.9in, and legroom of 32.5, all of which makes the Lexus more of a Spacious luxury car. The Mercedes, on the contrary, gets a better overall passenger space.
As extravagant as the LC 500 is, the Japanese have not left it without the latest tech. Accordingly, it does get an 8-inch display digital instrument that shows the vital stats of the car. The center placed 10.3inches display houses the Lexus Enform infotainment system. However, the Infotainment system controls seem to be quite confusing though.
The infotainment lacks the support for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay for now, but that might be addressed in the near future. For additional insight about this year’s features, please refer to the following list:
Lexus’s cargo hold is not the best of its features, since it emphasizes more on the comfort and ergonomics of the passenger compartment. Thus, the Lexus gets a boot space of a mere 5.4 cube. Ft. which is far from being substantial as compared to its rivals. Nevertheless, it scores where the others fail and that is unmatched reliability.

The Mercedes S560 has the most practical boot and thus, gets a boot space that is almost double its space about 10.4 cu-ft. Apparently, the Porsche sails in the same boat as the LC 500, with a boot space of a mere 5.1 cu-ft.

There are a plethora of standout features on the LC 500's modern art museum of a body that it's hard to know where to start. The hood is low, long, wide; in profile, its graceful lines soar up and over a perfectly proportioned cabin. Dimensionally, Lexus gets a length of 187.4-inch, a width of 75.6-inch, and a height of 53.0-inch. All of these parameters just signify that the car isn't really as lengthy as the Mercedes nor as small as the Porsche.
This makes the Lexus more manageable in city-like traffic conditions and round the corners. It gets a ground clearance of 5.2in., which makes it more stable and better at handling potholes on the roads. Also, the longer wheelbase which is around 113in. make the car pretty stable at high speeds.

The Mercedes puts the highest bid on weight and that is clearly visible from the hefty dimensions it gets. The Porsche, on the other hand, is quite minimalistic with its design and has got a very conservative stance too. Perhaps, the Lexus LC 500 was launched with a view to filling the void between these two bulls. Some of the exterior features in the 2018 Lexus LC 500 are:
The new LC 500 is a yesteryear’s offering and it's still measuring the market right now. It’s too soon for the Lexus to joust with the wall, hence NHTSA and IIHS have not rated the LC 500. So, it is wise not to make a bid on Lexus LC’s safety. -
The new Mercedes-Benz S-class Coupe is priced around $124,500 which is costlier than the Lexus LC 500 by around $32000, but for that price, you do get a bigger space car in terms of passenger space, it gets better fuel economy than the Lexus. It gets better interiors than the Lexus.
So, if you won't mind spending $32000 just for luxury, then the Mercedes is the right buy for you.
The Porsche 911 Carrera is cheaper than the Lexus LC 500 for around $1000. For which the Porsche has a smaller 3L engine on offer. It does get a better Fuel economy though. Porsche doesn't get as plush and luxurious interiors as the Lexus. So, here the Lexus seems to be the right buy for you.
The 2018 Lexus LC 500 which starts at around $92000, does get a bigger engine, which is the most powerful among all its rivals. The Lexus isn't the car meant for fuel efficiency as it doesn't get much of it. On the interiors, the Lexus has a host of Luxurious bits and high-end materials on offer. Which rather add up to the comfort level on offer. Thus, the Lexus is the right buy for you as it has the perfect combination of both luxuriousness and performance at the right price.
