2018 Maserati GranTurismo Acceleration

The GranTurismo reaches the 60mph speed at 4.8 seconds and the quarter-mile distance in just 13.0 seconds. It will go on to achieve its top speed of 186 miles per hour which is quite standard for a sports car with a big engine.

2018 Maserati GranTurismo Ride and Handling

The suspension is double-wishbone on the front and back, similar to what you get on race cars and supercars. The double-wishbone suspension allows every wheel to act independently to each other. This allows you to have a smooth ride along with better stability while you drive.

In the handling department, the Maserati GranTurismo comes with an improved steering response while maneuvering at high speed, or to decrease the turning radius at low speed there is also rear-wheel steering employed. Pointing to the desired directions and avoiding the collision rear-wheel steering is applied.

2018 Maserati GranTurismo Braking Performance

The Braking System of the Maserati GranTurismo Sport features a disc brake system, with 14.2-inch front rotors and 13.0-inch rear rotors. The rotors are also vented which means it cools itself faster when under heavy repetitive braking, ideal for when you are in racing conditions.

Fuel Economy
6.7/10

The Maserati GranTurismo offers 13 mpg in the city, 21 mpg on the highway, and 16 mpg combined. Maserati equips the GranTurismo with a 22.7-gallon fuel tank. This allows it to have a range of 295 miles in the city, 477 miles on the highway, and 363 miles combined.

In terms of combined range, the Maserati GranTurismo sport offers the most with a combined range of 363 miles, this is due to its large fuel tank. Then comes the Porsche 911 Carrera GTS with a range of 350 miles and the lease range offered by the Jaguar F-Type R of 333 miles.

Interior
8.9/10

The Maserati GranTurismo can seat four occupants comfortably in the cabin. The rear seats however are a bit cramped as they do not offer a lot of legroom. The interior is draped in the best of leathers Maserati has to offer and you get to choose the color of upholstery on the seats and dash, seat belt color, and contrasting stitch color if any.

For comfort, Maserati equips the GranTurismo with 10-way sports bucket seats with the features of heated power-adjustable memory driver’s seat and front passenger seat. They also have the feature of power easy rear-seat entry and the option of seat ventilation. For added comfort, there is front dual-zone climate control.

We reckon the Maserati GranTurismo has more space for passengers than the Porsche, however, the GranTurismo does lose out to the Jaguar F-Type R when it comes to legroom in the front row, the only row for the Jaguar.
