The Wraith only has one other trim called the Black Badge, which follows the blacker than a black theme. The Black Badge truly encapsulates the viewers with its darker theme, the space-age inspired interiors, and higher horsepower. With its power 6.6L V12, Rolls-Royce has all what it takes to balance out that performance with luxury in all its glory.

The 2 door coupe comes with a well-endowed twin-turbo 6.6L V12 engine, which delivers a staggering 624 hp, which will be more than enough for a 5,379 lbs finesse machine. The 8 speed ZF auto communicates with Sat Nav and preps the car for the road ahead. Combine that with 605 lb-ft of torque and you get the beloved Rolls-Royce riding experience. The coupe by Rolls Royce comes in RWD as standard for it to get the pure track-based mechanism to enjoy.

The Rolls is quieter and less shivery at higher speeds than its prime competitor, the Bentley Continental GT. The low button on the gear lever is the closest thing the Rolls-Royce offers to a Sport mode. It makes the gear changes a bit quicker and aggressive. In comparison, Bentley offers a bit more power through its powertrain setup of 6.0L 12-cylinder engine mated to 8-speed automatic.
With just 4.4 seconds on the clock, the acceleration on the Rolls is impressive but lags behind its competitors by just a hair. Taking into account that the Wraith is primarily a luxury car, this small detail can easily be overlooked. The vehicle which is prepared to be driven by Chauffeurs, acceleration is not going to be the measuring tape of it.

The Mercedes and the Bentley have better acceleration times, but you are definitely not going to race these cars on the road any time soon. Mercedes-Benz AMG S 65 Class takes the crown for being the fastest on the block by reaching the 60mph mark from a standstill in just 3.9 seconds. In the quarter-mile drag race, Wraith loses to both the other competitors where Bentley wins it by timing of 11.7 seconds.
This car glides and swerves smoothly and is a joy to ride even after being a heavy beast. The 8 speed ZF auto aids the driving immensely and accentuates the whole driving pleasure. The Rolls-Royce is an all-out luxury vehicle, and the fallacies of one are highlighted when turning on as there is quite a bit of delay, oversteering is also a common occurrence. It takes a significant time for the car to steer into a turn, and there is a delay between the time we turn the steering wheel and the time it takes for the bonnet to follow.
While going out of the turn, you can feel the lazy back end making the turn in a very heavy manner and can be felt at higher speeds. When in full throttle mood the one-piece windows sans the B pillar also make significant noise due to the wind. In the end, though the suspensions are tuned to minimize body roll, we do see some of it due to its massive footprint on the roads.
It takes a lot to tame a beast on the roads but still Rolls-Royce and its powerful V12 can be tamed with ease. The middle ground of the three cars we are taking into consideration, Wraith has a braking distance of 109 feet for 60-0 Mph. The fact that the Rolls is the highest weighted contender and manages to fare better than the Bentley GT speed Continental only adds to its accolades.

Despite being the heaviest on the block, the 2018 Rolls-Royce Wraith has not received the biggest brake discs in the segment. Bentley offers the biggest brake discs at the front of 15.9 inches, whereas Mercedes owns the biggest rear rotors, measuring 15.4 inches. Mercedes takes the cake within the rivals by taking the least length of 105 ft to reach to a halt from 60mph.
Don’t expect a heavy luxury with V12 working under the hood to not put a hole in your pocket through its thirsty nature. The fuel economy of the Rolls-Royce is less on the highway, but with a city mileage of 12 it more than makes up for it. A luxury yacht in the form of a car comes with its own perks and shortcomings.

Not the most economical, but still surprisingly good for a V12, the Wraith gives a combined Mpg of 15, which is on par with the Mercedes-Benz AMG S 65 and the Bentley GT speed continental coupe. When looked in detail, the 2018 Mercedes offers the best in class mileage numbers of 13 mpg in the city and a combined mileage of 21 mpg.
The 4 seater cruiser has comfortable leather seats, which are a joy to sit on and emit an aura of exuberance to everyone present in the car. Similar to a luxury yacht, the Wraith ensures you are wrapped in a blanket of comfort whilst riding, making it a pleasant experience rather than a vehicle used to go from one place to another.
One you sit inside the coupe, the premium touches will make you feel the luxury in its entirety. The coupe by Rolls-Royce comes with leather upholstered seats with leather-wrapped steering wheel. Features like the dual-power front seats, power driver’s seat, and heated seats tell about the comfort this offering by Rolls-Royce wants you to enjoy inside the cabin. With the largest wheelbase on the table, Rolls-Royce has more than adequate space in both rows for a comfortable journey of any length.

Setting new standards with every model, Rolls-Royce does not let one their defining characteristics fade in its latest incarnation of an automobile. The seating space offered inside the cabin is almost similar by all the competitors in the segment. When looking at the details, Mercedes offers the best head and shoulder room in the first row, whereas Rolls-Royce takes the spot for the same in the second row.
The infotainment system is concealed under the beautiful wooden panel and is revealed at the push of a button. BMW owners and car enthusiasts might be split on the system because it's a reimagined and posh version of a BMW 7 series infotainment. Considering the fact that BMW owns Rolls-Royce, spilling over technology and borrowing of designs should not be surprising.
Laden with a 1300 watt 18-channel speaker, this ride is one of the best listening experiences you can get. The microphones in the car monitor ambient noises and adjust the settings periodically for the best listening experience and pin-drop silence in the cabin. THe absence of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto remains a sad truth of this coupe. Other key infotainment features include- Satellite Radio

With a flawlessly slanting rear end coupled with a distinctive front grille, it's hard to mistake this car for another. The longest and tallest than its competitors, the Rolls-Royce is more spacious and has the highest ground clearance amongst its peers. Bentley stands at the bottom with the smallest wheelbase of the lot at 108 inches, while Wraith takes the cake by offering the largest wheels of 122.5 inches. When comparing the curb weight, the curb weight of Wraith is the heaviest among the lot.
It would be a dystopian idea even in dreams to get a car from the Rolls-Royce staple to get crash-tested by NHTSA or IIHS. The hand-crafted nature of these luxury machines says a lot about the detailed focus on everything and that also shows in its safety. This luxury automobile comes equipped with a host of safety features that ensure that the person riding is safe from impact at all times. The variety of active and passive safety features include-
If you can look beyond the panache and pizzazz of the Rolls-Royce Wraith along with the customization it offers, the 2018 Bentley Continental GT Speed offers a better acceleration time and more horsepower with only a 6L engine as compared to the 6.6L of the Rolls. The 2018 Wraith should be your choice if you want a good balance of art and performance.
The quickest of the lot the Mercedes clocks in at 3.9 seconds for 0-60mph and is also the cheapest of the lot. The Mercedes delivers a similar luxury ride, but will always have a sense of discontentment as per what you could have had. It offers only a 7 gear automatic, which is one gear less than the others. The Benz also offers the highest horsepower as compared to its rivals but fails to surpass the Rolls when compared in a day to day setting.
Cruise around the streets or race along the highway in this luxury GT, and you'll not be disappointed in this beast of an automotive engineering marvel. A modern classic looking machine that is equally powerful under the hood, the Rolls-Royce is the perfect blend of beauty and power. The customizations are very personal embellishments that make the Wraith stand out from the crowd. An epitome of performance luxury, the Rolls-Royce Wraith claims the throne with ease in its segment.
