The 2019 NSX doesn't come in multiple trims and buyers will have to do with just the one on offer. Customers can however, customize the NSX to a variety of levels depending on their choices and preferences.
The Acura NSX is back for the 2019 model year, remaining mostly unchanged, but still coming strong with its incredible package of power, refinement, and technology. The 2019 Acura NSX costs about $159,000 and comes powered by a Hybrid Powertrain that belts out a combined output of 573 horsepower and 476 lb-ft of torque.
The NSX's competition has evolved over time and the current crops of the rivals include the Chevrolet Corvette ZR1, Porsche 911 Turbo, Jaguar F-Type SVR, and the Nissan GTR Track edition.
The 2019 Acura NSX is offered as a standalone trim and will cost you $159,300. There's a powerful 3.5L twin-turbocharged V6 on offer, coupled to a hybrid powertrain. AWD is standard, which results in lots of traction and blistering acceleration.
The single trim offers you plenty of interior and exterior features as well, which have been listed in the table below.

The 2019 Acura NSX doesn't come in multiple trims and buyers will have to do with just the one on offer. Customers can, however, customize the NSX to a variety of levels depending on their choices and preferences.
As with the current crop of Supercars, the engine offered with the 2019 NSX is a sophisticated unit. While the old NSX was all about the mechanical feel, the new NSX is a technology fest. The 3.5-liter twin-turbo V-6 churns out 500hp alone and provides a superb exhaust note while sitting inside. The Electric Motor has been mounted to the Gas Motor in lieu of the weight balance. The Limited Slip Differential sits in the rear of this setup while the front comprises the Li-Ion battery pack with 2 motors that power the front wheels. The performance from this setup ranks as the best in terms of the experience it offers and the exhaust note, which adds to the ecstasy of driving.

The 9-speed dual-clutch transmission fires instant shifts and its first eight gear ratios are closely spaced to keep the engine in the meat of the power band. The 9th gear is tall and is meant for effortless and efficient high-speed cruise. Comparing the competition, the Corvette ZR1 has the most horsepower to offer, while the 911 comes with the least, despite being probably the best sportscar in the lot. The Corvette also offers a monstrous amount of torque, which completely puts the sports car in an entirely different league in terms of raw power alone.
Words can't do justice to the kind of acceleration that the NSX offers. Despite being a comparatively bulky car, the NSX manages to do the 60mph sprint in under 3 seconds. What's impressive is the way it delivers the performance- the NSX is always eager to exit the corners at max velocity and confidence.

The Nissan GT-R Track edition matches the NSX in terms of acceleration while the front-heavy Jaguar is the slowest of the lot. The Porsche and the Corvette also manage a sub-3.0 second time for the sprint and the Jaguar is the only exception of the lot.
The most noticeable changes to the 2019 NSX come in the form of the new Continental Sport Contact tires. Additionally, stiffer stabilizer bars, tighter wound suspension, and harder toe-link bushings make sizable differences in the coupe's handling. Why are we telling this? That's because the NSX's handling gets even better than last year because of the same. The Dual Suspension Settings ensure that the ride remains sublime and comfortable, irrespective of the condition of the road you are driving on. The passengers won't feel tired even on a long ride courtesy of the reworked suspension and better-tuned driving mode settings.
Handling is the true trump card of the NSX and the changes mentioned above, aid to the same as well. The Grip levels and the confidence that the NSX offers rank among the best in the entire industry. Once you push the NSX to its limit, it starts to show some loopholes but the stability control doesn't allow the coupe to go out of hand at any point. In driving terms, the electric motor offers quick and smooth responses in the city while the Gas motor shines on the Highway and the Race Tracks.
The Braking Setup of the NSX is a true example of modern engineering. The NSX comes with Brake-by -wire tech that means that the brake responses are controlled by electronics and are monitored by the same. Despite this, the brakes never feel like they are being modulated and gives a mechanical feel overall.

The NSX delivers excellent brake pedal response despite the regenerative braking in action. Moreover, it stops within an impressive 103 feet in a panic braking situation despite weighing 3800 pounds - a result of all the added hybrid hardware. You can even option the carbon-ceramic brakes if you plan to use Your NSX on track days.
While a normal hybrid car is tuned for maximum efficiency, the NSX uses it for extracting maximum performance. The use of Regen Braking and Electric Motor maximizes performance and reduces gas consumption while promoting its effective usage. Despite all the performance-enhancing hybrid gadgetry, the 2019 Acura NSX returns a mighty impressive fuel economy of 21 MPG in the city and 22 MPG on the highway. Also, the 2019 model year NSX comes fitted with a sizable 15.6-gallon fuel tank, which enables it substantial driving range on the highway.

The NSX delivers an impressive 21 mpg in the city and 22 on the highway and an overall 21 figure in terms of the MPG figures. That's considerably better than the competitors, which deliver similar levels of performance. The Corvette offers the most performance in this comparison but expectedly, performs the worst in the MPG tests.
"Acura's designers have managed to create a warm and welcoming cabin with a modern, high-tech vibe. There's nothing retro about it; still, the shapes and overall design offer a connection to the interior of the original Acura NSX, which was introduced in 1991"- KBB
Like a purebred race vehicle, you drop low into the seat in the 2019 Acura NSX. What's more, the outside view is exceptional. That is a result of the incredibly skinny A-pillars by utilizing the world's first 3D built, Ultra high strength steel in the A-pillar. The cabin itself is fairly comfortable, with a good amount of comfort amenities. We love the fact that the seating position and the leather-clad steering wheel work together to inspire confidence in the driver. The build quality of the cabin feels excellent, and all the interior elements are very well put together. There's a good amount of high-quality materials too, which certainly boosts the premium appeal of the NSX's cabin. Elsewhere, you will find plenty of swooping surfaces that can be covered in either supple semi-aniline leather or tactile Alcantara leather. Like every modern supercar, you can also opt for carbon fiber trims.
If however, in the event that you conquer that inclination to drive and look around in the interiors, you will discover a lot of switchgear lifted from other Acuras. That is bad at this price point and rivals will make you feel special. The seats are remarkably cushy and comfortable for long-distance driving. This helps the 2019 NSX double as a comfortable cruising machine as well. The NSX comes with a funky digital gauge cluster, which serves much more than being just aesthetic. The digital panel displays several performance parameters of the NSX and can be accessed to view countless race-focused layouts and features during track days.

Comparing the competition, the 2019 Acura NSX offers the most amount of front headroom. As mentioned earlier, this further augments the comfort touring factor of the NSX for long-distance driving. The NSX also offers the most shoulder space among its rivals, while the Nissan GT-R comes with the most legroom.
The original Honda NSX was known for its immense usability. Sadly, that is not the case with the new NSX. You will find a 4.4 cubic feet trunk just behind the see-through engine cover and that's about it. In other supercars, a trunk is provided under the front bonnet. In NSX, that space is occupied by the Twin-Motor Unit. Even the existing trunk gets hot due to close proximity to the V6 and poor insulation.

The 2019 Acura NSX certainly comes with racing DNA, but misses out on infotainment tech on certain levels. The NSX comes fitted with a 7-inch infotainment screen, featuring Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The screen itself isn't particularly vibrant and lacks certain responsiveness. There's an ELS Studio 9-speaker sound system, which is absolutely brilliant. Bluetooth Audio Streaming is on offer, along with Aux and USB support.
You will get all the features that you will find in the top-end Civic but with the performance of a Porsche. Following are some of the highlights inside the 2019 NSX:
The NSX is a compilation of the best parts of the best supercars that have surfaced in the Industry to date. The Exteriors look radical from all angles and the curves of the NSX will remind you of Supercars from the past. The Low ground clearance adds to the low stance of the coupe and gives the stance of an athlete, ready to race. There are big air intakes in the front that add downforce by sucking in the air for the twin-turbo V6. With achingly handsome proportions, the 2019 Acura NSX commands a strong road presence. The Rear End of the NSX has similar Air dams that filter out the air from the front and accentuates the downforce. The neatly designed LED Taillights look well in place and add to the aesthetics of the NSX.

While the 2019 Acura NSX looks incredibly handsome in the metal, it, unfortunately, stands as one of the heavier vehicles among its rivals. This can probably be attributed to its weighty hybrid system. The Nissan GT-R Nismo measures the longest among the competition, while the Acura NSX boasts the highest width. The NSX also measures the most low-slung, while the Nissan GT-R stands the tallest. There are plenty of features on the outside of the NSX that will keep onlookers hooked to the NSX, as it passes by them. Some of the best features include
The 2019 Acura NSX comes with a wide array of safety features that help it stand as a respectably safe sports car. Acura offers the NSX with a plethora of airbags, along with several electronic aids that help in preventing accidents. The 2019 Acura NSX hasn't been rated by the NHTSA or the IIHS, but that scarcely affects the NSX's safety merit. The 2019 Acura NSX is offered with the following safety features:
The Jaguar F-Type SVR is undoubtedly the best that Britain has to offer in terms of affordable performance Sportscars. The F-Type SVR is a proper hoot to drive on the roads and the sound from the exhausts will raise goosebumps in most people. The SVR is properly luxurious and oozes British excellence in engineering. The NSX on the other hand carries rich legacy behind its back and drives like a proper supercar on the track as well as on the roads. Leave aside some of the luxuries that you see in the Jag and the NSX will leave you satisfied, every time you drive it.
The GT-R Track edition sharpens the already Potent GT-R, which is considered as the biggest threat to the European Sports Cars. The GT-R feels like it will rip your neck apart on the track and push you back on your seat while accelerating. The figures on offer from the dashboard of the GT-R is miles ahead of any other Sports Car in the market as well. The NSX on the other hand matches the GT-R in most aspects but does it, in a more eco-friendly way.
The Porsche 911 Turbo is the driving benchmark in the world in terms of the best driver's car. With the new Turbo, Porsche is offering both performance and handling and it still continues to be the best Driver's car in a more powerful avatar. The NSX on the other hand is a superb handling machine that can be used in both the cities and the tracks and the best part being its Hybrid powertrain, making it future-ready.
The Acura NSX turned out to be a game-changer for the sports car industry when it was first showcased in the early '90s. It projected the image of a true future-ready sportscar in terms of performance, handling and design. The current-gen NSX does the same, as it shows us the future in terms of the hybrid powertrain it has, the styling and performance it offers, and the design. The Acura NSX is the benchmark in terms of performance in the segment and if you want a true sports car that performs better than the German or American ones and gives them a run for their money, then look no further than the NSX.
