Overall, the 2019 Audi TTS coupe appeals to both the practical and passionate with its sassy styling, design language and zippy performance.
The TTS coupe has only a single trim and the perfect coupe for you would have the Quattro all-wheel drive, the technology pack and the Audi Virtual Cockpit added to the list. Short of putting the TTS on a racetrack, its handling is near faultless. The all-wheel-drive system does a beautiful job of keeping the car on the intended line. There is great traction and superb poise through turns.

Which trim should you buy?
The TTS coupe has only a single trim and the perfect coupe for you would have the Quattro all-wheel drive, the technology pack and the Audi Virtual Cockpit added to the list. Short of putting the TTS on a racetrack, its handling is near faultless. The all-wheel-drive system does a beautiful job of keeping the car on the intended line. There is great traction and superb poise through turns.
Beneath the hood of the 2019 Audi TT RS coupe is a 2.5L TFSI Inline-5-cylinder engine which when mated with its 7-speed automatic transmission is enough to produce a power of 394 bhp and 354 lb-ft of torque which sets the TT RS coupe apart from most of the competition into its own league. The highly intuitive and lightning fast 7-speed dual clutch transmission along with Audi’s very own Quattro All Wheel Drivetrain (AWD) makes the 2019 Audi TT RS coupe extremely light and nimble on its feet. The different drive modes on offer tunes the TT RS helps to effortlessly switch between a full blown sports car and a gentle urban urban cruiser.
Audi has also put in a lot of time and effort in carefully re-calibrating the suspension setup and the adaptive dampers makes the TT RS coupe feel stable and planted on the road—even when that road turns wickedly tight and twisty. Audi will be offering an optional dynamic sports plus package with the TT RS coupe, which provides extra stability and helps to eliminate any kind of body roll during those high speed cornerings.

Compared to the 718 Cayman the TT RS coupe provides a lot more bang for the buck as it produces significantly more power as compared to the Porsche. The 2019 BMW M2 competition takes the cake in the performance department, as it is clearly the most powerful car in this lot with over 400 bhp of horsepower at the crank.
Regardless of the power figures, the 2019 Audi TT RS is quick to reach 60 from a standstill in a mere 3.6 seconds, thanks to the great power to weight ratio of the lightweight coupe. The quarter-mile is covered in an impressive 11.8 seconds which seems slow compared to the time it took to reach 60.

After the initial burst of speed from the Quattro all-wheel drive, Audi's charm fades away and makes way for the Porsche to shine. Despite taking 4.0 seconds to 60, it covers the quarter-mile in just above 12.4 seconds. While the 2019 Audi TT RS coupe remains the undisputed champ for its 0-60 MPH sprint at 3.6 seconds, the BMW M2 competition and the Porsche 718 Cayman S coupe take about 4.0 seconds each to reach 60 MPH from a standstill.
The Audi TTS is not the sharpest driving coupe on the market unlike the Cayman, but it is still better than a few others. The steering feels responsive whenever you throw it in the corners and the amount of grip that it offers makes the drive truly entertaining.
The ride is on the comfort side and not too harsh but when you get the optional S line package, it does make a difference to the car. Body movement is well contained and the Quattro all-wheel-drive system offers stability, traction, and precise driving.
The brakes are larger than ever before, with 13.3-inch discs on the front and 12.2 on the rear, they deliver powerful stopping force. Weighing about 3000 lbs, Audi's work like a charm not only on tracks but also on city streets. The brake pedal is extremely precise and direct, much like the steering. The lightweight alloy used on the 2019 Audi TT RS coupe not only provides excellent biting force while stopping the vehicle, it also reduces the overall unsprung mass of the vehicle which in turn helps in reducing the inertia of the vehicle.

Although none of these cars get the option of carbon ceramic brake discs the steel alloy units on these do a fair job of stopping these cars from very high speeds with a lot of ease and panache. Out of the lot although the BMW M2 competition gets the biggest brake discs and calipers on offer the results tell a different story altogether as it finishes last in the braking test from 60 MPH, a part of that reason being is the fact the BMW M2 competition is the heaviest of the lot and hence carries the most amount of inertia.
On the brighter side of things the 2019 Audi TT RS absolutely nails the brake test with its 14.6 inches and 12.2 inches brake calipers in the front and rear respectively by coming to complete standstill from 60 MPH in just a meagre 96 ft, which is extraordinary considering the scheme of things on the 2019 Audi TT RS coupe, and last but definitely not least the 2019 Porsche 718 Cayman comes 2nd by coming to a complete standstill from a speed of 60 MPH in just 99.8 feet.
The 2019 Audi TT RS coupe might be dynamite when it comes to performance, but it surely takes a severe toll on the fuel efficiency, as the 2019 Audi TT RS coupe returns an average of just 19 MPG in city and a respectable 29 MPG on highways. The engine on the TTS is surprisingly fuel-efficient and only consumes about 23 miles to the gallon in the city and can manage up to 27 miles in a gallon on highways, which brings the combined fuel economy to about 25.

Audi's Virtual Cockpit combines the infotainment screen and gauge cluster into one screen in front of the driver. While this occupies the main stage, the climate controls complete the modern interior look, integrating seamlessly into the air vent bezels on the center of the dash.
The Audi TT RS coupe is a 4 seater coupe has comfortable and supportive seats but nowhere near the level that the coupes like the 718 cayman and BMW M2 competition have reached. The cabin feels spacious until you try to carry some luggage, and then feel the need for a larger trunk. With premium materials on most of the consoles, you can ignore the plastic bits that litter the cabin.Â
Having said that the cabin of the 2019 Audi TT RS coupe is an extremely pleasant place to be in especially with all the  Nappa leather seats also get an embossed RS badge which signifies that this small looking car gets an engine that can push you back in the seat as soon as you floor that pedal to the metal. Red stitching can be spotted in the cabin with the all-black interiors, goes really well with the sporty and youthful design language and theme of the vehicle.Â

The rear seats are even more unusable than the BMW and the F-Type, the legroom is lesser and so is the headroom.
The giant high-definition screen inside the 2019 Audi TT RS coupe is easy to use and intuitive while driving. Although Apple CarPlay is available as standard, operating it through the rotary knob often gets tricky. It comes equipped with MMI navigation plus with MMI touch system which is one of a kind. The all new 2019 iteration of the Audi TT RS is equipped with Audi Connect which means it will give you an inbuilt 4G LTE connection. Android Auto and Apple CarPlay come standard for this variant.
The 2019 Audi TT RS coupe is subpar for carrying cargo at the back, with a tiny trunk at the back and the access opening. The interior is also conducive to storage options but isn't exceptionally ergonomic. Overall, the cargo capacity of the 2019 Audi TT RS coupe at 12.0 cubic feet, is much better than the usual segment standards for 2-door coupe sports cars.Â

A short wheelbase, with even shorter overhangs, means Audi has kept the weighty pieces toward the center of the car. That translates to ideal handling manners so that the TTS can corner as good as anything on the road.
Long gone are the days when the 2019 Audi TT RS coupe looked like a tortoise on wheels, the 2019 Audi TTS now has sharp stylized lines running along the length of the car and blend in smoothly into the LED Daytime running lights. The tiny coupe is only 165-inches long, much shorter than even the Porsche 718. However, it sits taller than the Porsche and loses out on the advantage of having a low center of gravity.
Overall, Audi designers have done a stupendous job by cleverly balancing out the track width and the height of the car and also giving it a low slung centre of gravity. All these factors when combined doesn’t only make the Audi TT RS coupe a lot sinister but also improves functionality and high speed cornering stability to a great extent.

The Porsche 718 Cayman is far superior to the Audi TTS in terms of handling. The Porsche are well known for their laser-precise steering and the Audi TTS doesn't hold a candle. The infotainment on the TTS is however a different story.
With the Virtual cockpit, it is far superior to Porsche's infotainment. Although the TTS's rear seats are quite unusable for seating, they make it easy to carry some luggage, which isn't possible in the 2-seater 718.
The BMW M2 competition is much larger and practical in comparison to the TTS coupe and thus lags behind in terms of agility despite its much more powerful engine. The BMW has a roomier interior and comfier cabin compared to the Audi, but with the virtual cockpit, the Audi has far better infotainment. In terms of storage and cargo, the Audi fails to match up against the BMW M240i.
The Audi TTS is one of the most fun and responsive coupes that Audi makes after the R8 which comes with a V10 engine. The thrifty yet punchy engine churns out enough power to make it go quickly around the track but also keep the economy good enough to drive it around the city every day.
Though the 2019 Audi TT RS coupe is not as close to as fun to drive as its German competitors but still has been successful enough to create its own niche and appeal amongst the buyers, it can be said without a hint of doubt that the 2019 Audi TT RS is a pretty accomplished sports car. While more generic in its appearance than the iconic first-generation model, the latest TT - especially in TT RS guise - looks aggressive and ideally proportioned. Inside, the minimalist interior impresses with rich materials and the advanced Audi virtual cockpit. Performance-wise, there is a tangible increase in acceleration over the base TT and, together with the quattro system's stupendous grip, not many cars will be able to keep up with the 2019 Audi TT RS coupe through the corners as it effortlessly impresses most drivers with its sheer charm and emotionally invoking experience behind the wheels. Overall, the TT RS coupe is a classy and rapid sports coupe with that typically German brand of solidity, the TT RS is an excellent bang for the buck proposition.
