Overall Rating
Maserati the sister division of Ferrari figures out how to put out a vehicle at the 100k imprint that is as recognizable as the debut. Riding on the morals of Ferrari, Maserati conveys to the table an identity and intense look that isn't coordinated by any of its adversaries.
Riding on the morals of Ferrari, Maserati conveys an identity and intense look that isn't coordinated by any of its adversaries. A mix of ease and bespoke craftsmanship the Trident image certainly legitimizes its sticker price.
Every trim aside from the Maserati Quattroporte GTS is fueled by a 3.0L V6 motor that currently delivers 20hp more than the predecessor. With this spec knock, the Luxury division of Ferrari pleasantly offers unmatched driving experience previously reserved to high-end German saloons.
Prices starting from the S trim and going up to GTS GranLusso, we see a lot of variations in the offerings and in some of the mechanicals as well. After a close study on every trim, we take a stand with the new addition level to this year's Quattroporte, the S GranLusso. Mechanically, it offers AWD, above the RWD in S. Having the 20-inch tire inclusions and updated safety measures, to name a few, the S GranLusso would prove to be a more fruitful investment in the Quattroporte.
While obviously, customers having money to shed and performance to take in, the GTS GranLusso, having the heart of Ferrari would go the distance.

This Maserati is being fed by a 3.0L 6-cylinder inline engine having an output of 424-horsepower and 428 lb-ft of torque. These are some interesting numbers on-paper and the performance lives up to the expectations as well.
It is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission which is found not as accurate as one would expect. The shifts are quite short but the harder throttle response is carried out by longer shifts. The car revs up to the redline with ease and gives out extortionate performance.

The Quattroporte faces competition with the mentioned cars and it turns out to be a very fair comparison as all the cars have the 3L engine with 6-cylinder setup and 8-speed automatic gear setup. Pretty clearly, the Maserati poses out as the winner with a drastic lead in the engine's output, tuning, and performance. Rest, all being luxurious sedans come out equally similar based on their engine qualifications.
The perfectly tuned engine by Maserati allows the Quattroporte to a achieve the 0-60 mph target in just 4.5 seconds and covers the quarter mile in a mere 12.7 seconds. Having such a performance-oriented has a negative side which can be seen in the emissions department.

It is certainly the best car out of the pack and delivers well for what it is asked for. The Jaguar XJ and Audi A8 take the down score while having similar outputs on track.
Despite the increased girth of the car, Maserati has managed to pull out an extremely balanced car. It involves a lot of aluminum in its structure and chassis which allows it to shed the unnecessary weight which further adds to a more responsive and a well-handled car. As one would expect from a sports luxury sedan, the suspension is on the firm side which allows it to cruise through any circumstance without causing any nuisance. The electro-hydraulic steering allows the sheer joy of handling the Quattroporte at ease. The bigger wheels, however, decrease the comfort somewhat.
The 13.6-inch and 13.0-inch brake pads on the front and the rear wheels respectively helps the car to come to halt from the usual cruising speeds. The Maserati is one heavily built car, weighing just about 4.1tonnes.
When tested to the extreme, the brakes brought the Quattroporte from 60 mph to a dead stop in just 105 ft. which is considerably great.

When analyzed, the car weighs right in the middle of the category but even though it has the smallest of the brake setups, it still carries off the least distance and the quickest to stop from 60 miles an hour. The Jaguar XJ loses this aspect of the clan.
Having such performance driven aspects and outcomes, the Maserati Quattroporte is surely not considered to be an economical car. It consumes 16 mpg and 23 mpg in city and highway respectively. Thus, it delivers 18 miles per gallon of fuel consumption, combined.

Comparing the Quattroporte to its rivals, it loses out to every car in the segment which claims that it is the most uneconomical vehicle to be driven. The BMW 740i is a clear cut winner here, by proving to give such approachable numbers despite the heavy engine.
The Quattroporte is a well carved out car to easily accommodate 5 people. The cabin is plush and ambient with many leather and wooden accents. The seats are of top quality leather. The front seats are a joy to be in, while the back seats could be a bit of compromise for tall people.

Due to lack of data, we cannot put the Maserati Quattroporte against its competitors but the car ranks almost equally with the BMW 7-series which is class leading in terms of space and comfort.
The 2019's Quattroporte features an all-new 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system which is quite stuffed with the latest technology but still fails to deliver the justice to a $100,000+ vehicle.
Let's see the features it offers:
Being one of the longest and widest in its class, this vehicle offers just about 19 cubic feets of cargo space which is quite some excellent work in this department which further allows the practicality of the car to some heights and of less hassle.

Comparing the same, we conclude that the Quattroporte has the class-leading specs in this aspect with BMW following the same and Audi A8 falling at the last spot.
Having a length of 207 inches, a width of 77 inches and a height just above 58 inches, the Quattroporte is surely a huge sedan. Provided a wheelbase of 125-inch assures the presence of plenty of space inside the cabin of the car. The car's built pretty symmetrically when the front to the rear ratio of track width is almost identical.

The Maserati isn't the heaviest or the tallest, but just claims the top position in terms of length and width, facing an immediate competition from Audi. All the aspects vary unconditionally in this equivalence test but the Jaguar surely lacks a lot in this criteria too. Some of the basic exterior features being offered by the Quattroporte are:
Maserati have always been on top of their game when it comes to opulence and reassurance. Although safety standards have changed over the past few years, Maserati has done its part to stay up to date. For 2019, Maserati offers the following safety measures for the Quattroporte:
The 7-series is known for its plush and technology stuffed outlook at heart. It offers numerous amounts of exquisite luxury, exceptional crafted details, and phenomenal mechanisms. Also known to be a chauffeur-driven car, it provides tons of comfort at the back seats as well.
However, the car lacks some confidence in handling as the steering is found to be soft and numb, even though the engine is a result of pure refined engineering.
Being kept in the same category of competition, the Jaguar does not offer any thrilling feature of output out of its XJ. The car is well built, provides exceptional levels of comfort, luxury, technology and driving experience but falls short when compared to its rivals.
The Audi A8 comes as a feature loaded sedan. This gives out an immense amount of safety features, technology upholdings, premium comfort and a good quality ride. The engine's output, however, falls a bit low along with some minor dings in the cargo space and ride setup, when brought up to the comparative scale.
Priced above all this automotive marvel blessed with the Italian grace also performs above all. Justifying its price point in every parameter, the decade-old design is still hard to beat and still manages to appeal to the finest of luxury connoisseurs.
