The new Sonata's interior is driver-focused, with the center-mounted display screen canted purposefully toward the pilot. - KBB
The 2020 Hyundai Sonata comes with a brand new interior, in comparison to the outgoing 2019 Sonata. Offered in 2 color combinations, namely black and dark gray, the 2020 Sonata comes with the best-in-class interior quality, with soft-touch plastics, leather, and silver and chrome accents, making it look and feel more premium than all its rivals. The interior is also quite ergonomic and offers a long list of features as standard like dual-zone automatic climate control, sunroof, leather upholstery, and heated and powered seats. The front row of the 2020 Sonata offered best-in-class headroom and legroom too.
Being a 5-seater mid-size sedan, the 2020 Hyundai Sonata also offers a decently spacious rear seat, with the best in class headroom on offer from the segment. However, the legroom and shoulder room were adequate. Along with the spacious cabin on offer, the 2020 Sonata also gave out an excellent cargo capacity of 16 cu ft, making it an excellent tool for those long freeway drives with 5 passengers on board. The features like sunblinds, rear HVAC ducts, armrests with cupholders, and air filtration system makes it even more comfortable than most of the rivals.

The 2020 Sonata offered the most spacious front row of the mid-size sedan segment. However, the 2020 Accord and the 2020 Altima turned out to be better in terms of shoulder room for the rear seat passenger. The 2020 Camary also offered a superior 38" legroom, which is 3" more than the 2020 Sonata. The cargo capacity of 16.7 cu ft offered by the 2020 Accord turned out to be the best of the lot, which is followed by the Sonata. Both the 2020 Camry and the 2020 Altima offered a lower cargo capacity. The Sonata comes with a 10.25" touchscreen infotainment system and 12-speaker Bose audio system for the higher trims.
An 8" touchscreen infotainment system and a 6-speaker audio system are offered for the lower trims. Both the infotainment systems offered excellent user interface and brilliant display and touch sensitivity, making it the best of the lot. The stutters and lags are minimal too. The connectivity features like Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth, USB, etc are offered as standard. The audio quality is impressive. However, we would recommend you to get the Limited trim if you are an audiophile, as it gets the Bose audio system. Some of the interior and infotainment features on offer are:
- 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster
- Bluetooth handsfree with wireless audio streaming
- Head up display
- Bose premium audio system with 12 speakers
- Multiple devices connectivity
- 8" or 1.25" touchscreen infotainment system
- Android Auto
- Apple CarPlay
- SiriusXM radio
- Sunroof
- Heated and powered seats
- Leather upholstery
- Dual-zone automatic climate control system
