Overall Rating
The Infiniti QX60 might not be the first car that pops up in your mind when you think about buying a Luxury SUV. However, the 2020 QX60 will give you plenty of reasons as to why you should give this car a serious look.
The QX60 is a versatile car that offers 3 rows of seats with different configurations to meet your needs. The naturally aspirated V6 under the hood is fairly powerful and produces 395 horses. Fuel efficiency is another factor that fetches the QX60 some “green points”. The available AWD configuration ensures that you are ready for mild off-road expeditions and the harsh winters.
We recommend the fully loaded Luxe AWD trim. The QX60, being a luxury crossover, is meant to be enjoyed at its full glory. The AWD will also come in handy when you decide to wander off the road or it rains or snows heavily.

The 2020 Infiniti QX60 is segregated into 4 trims in the US market. It’s essentially 2 trims with FWD and AWD configurations, however, Infiniti has mentioned them as 4 different trims in their press release for the 2020 QX60. Therefore, we will consider them as 4 different trims, just the way Infiniti wants them to be!
All trims are powered by a naturally aspirated V6 which is mated to a CVT that also has an option for manual shift mode. The V6 under the hood churns out 295 horses @6400rpm and has a maximum torque output of 270 lb/ft @4800rpm.

Which trim do we recommend?
We recommend the fully loaded Luxe AWD trim. The QX60, is a luxury crossover, is meant to be enjoyed at its full glory. The AWD will also come in handy when you decide to wander off the road or it rains or snows heavily.
The standard 3.5L Naturally Aspirated V6 under the hood of the 2020 Infiniti QX60 is the same unit that powered its predecessor. This V6 churns out 295 horses @6400rpm and has a maximum torque output of 270 lb/ft @4800rpm. This engine is fairly capable and is an excellent blend of power and fuel efficiency.
The power delivery is linear and well-refined which makes this car a very good option as a daily driver in the city.

The available CVT is fairly responsive and you won’t have any complaints. However, it might feel a little sluggish on the highway. Hence, Infiniti has equipped the 2020 QX60 with a manual shift mode so that you can take matters into your hands and drive the car just the way you want.
The all-new Infiniti QX60 is not the fastest car in the segment. The naturally aspirated V6 along with the CVT takes quite a while for power to kick in.
The QX60 is also one of the heaviest cars in the segment with a curb weight of 4389lbs and factor contributes towards this car not being as fast as one would expect.

It can do 0-60mph in 7.6 seconds and complete a quarter-mile drag race in flat 16 seconds. Yes, these figures are not very encouraging, but would someone really take this car out on a drag strip? Definitely not. The 2020 QX60 has ample power and acceleration to meet your daily needs and occasional cross-country trips.
The ride quality of the all-new QX60 is smooth and composed. The 19” alloy wheels along with the well-tuned suspension do very well to masquerade the road imperfections.
The acoustic glass does its job very well as the QX60 has one of the quietest cabins in the segment. The steering wheel might be on the lighter side, but it’s very accurate.
All trims of the 2020 Infiniti QX60 are equipped with ventilated disk brakes and ABS on all 4 wheels. The braking is quite efficient and can bring the QX60 to a standstill from 60mph in 127 feet. While other cars in the segment have better figures, we would like to remind you that the 2020 QX60 is one of the heaviest cars in the segment.
The braking pedal is very smooth and the braking power is linearly related to the applied pressure.

Unlike many cars that make you choose between power or fuel efficiency, the V6 under the hood of QX60 manages to deliver both. The FWD variant has a combined fuel efficiency of 23 MPG. It manages to deliver 20 MPG in the city and 27 MPG on the highway.

The AWD variant has slightly less fuel economy figures as it delivers 19 MPG in the city and 26 MPG on the highway. The fuel efficiency figures of the 2020 Infiniti QX60 is identical to that of the 2020 Acura MDX while 2020 Buick Enclave and 2019 Cadillac XT5 has combined fuel efficiency of 21 MPG and 22 MPG respectively.
The 2020 Infiniti is a very appealing mid-size SUV to the family buyers as it offers 3 rows of seats. Based on the Nissan Pathfinder, the front and 2nd row of seats offer ample space even for a tall adult. The 3rd row, however, is best kept reserved for children.
The driver’s seat is an 8-way power-adjustable which ensures the perfect seating position of the driver of any shape and size. The front passenger's seat is 6-way power-adjustable. The front seats also have heating abilities. The 2nd row of seats are 60/40 split-folding and can be slid back and forth to make room for the 3rd row. The last row of the seats is 50/50 split-folding that falls flat to the ground level.

The Pure trim comes in Leatherette upholstery while the Luxe trim gets Leather-appointed seats. The central console also gets maple finish that is inspired by the Japanese Fuku-Urushi technique. Every button on the central console has a definite shape and finish so that you can identify them without taking your eyes off the road.
The 2019 QX50 has 2 screens. The larger 8" screen on the top is primarily used for navigation while the smaller 7" screen handles music and other aspects. The quality of the screen is not on par with the rivals and the touch response is also sluggish.
The default cargo space of the 2020 Infiniti QX60, behind the 3rd-row seat, is 16 cubic feet. It is definitely not the largest in the segment but is adequate to handle most of your daily needs.
Should the need for more space arise, the QX60 has got quite a few tricks up its sleeves.

Folding the 3rd row of seats will increase the space up to 40.5 cubic feet. You can also fold the 2nd row of seats which will give you the maxed out cargo space at 76.2 cubic feet. The best way to get the maximum utility out of the 2020 QX60 is to fold down the 3rd-row seats and use it as a 5 seater SUV with huge trunk space.
The exterior shell of the 2020 Infiniti QX60 has remained exactly the same as its predecessor. While some may complain about it, Infiniti has used this design language to its advantage. The 2020 QX60 looks more athletic and nimbler than it actually is.
The fluidic and curvy design of the QX60 also breaks out from the angular and blocky designs of most of its competitors. This car looks great in metallic colors and chrome accents on the back complement the overall design very well. The available roof rails add more utility and character to the overall look of the car. There are also the Infiniti staples such as the signature Infiniti front grille, LED DRLs, LED fog lights and integrated LED turn indicators.

At Infiniti, the safety and reliability of the cars they manufacture are at the helm of the list of priorities. QX60, the luxury SUV from the house of Infinity is no different and is a very safe car, because of it's robust build along with the wide array of safety features.
Both of these Japanese cars aim to dominate the American mid-size luxury SUV segment and present a strong case for themselves. The 2020 Acura MDX is ruggedly built and offers a great driving experience. The Acura, inheriting all the Honda traits, often gets great resale values. The 2020 QX60, on the other hand, lets its performance do the talking. Powered by an extremely capable V6 with great fuel efficiency, this car is an excellent choice as a daily driver. There is also no dearth of features in this Infiniti. In the end, it ultimately boils down to your choice and preference as both of these cars are very similar.
Buick represents American heritage in the mid-size luxury SUV segment. The all-American car has a contemporary exterior design language and upscale interiors. If cabin space is your priority, the 2020 Enclave is the car for you as this is the largest car in the segment. However, Buick has faced quite a few issues lately regarding the reliability of its cars. Infiniti does not have such issues as it is one of the highly-rated car manufacturers by JD Power.
2020 Infiniti QX60 is one of the best-rounded off cars in the segment. The unconventional yet iconic shell sets it apart from the rest of the pack. The inside of the car is filled with premium materials like leather and Maple wood. The cabin is pretty spacious with comfortable seats. There is also enough tech inside to keep you engaged throughout a long trip. The V6 powering the QX60 is a great blend of power and efficiency. This car is as capable on the highway as it is in the city. Therefore, if you want a luxury SUV that can be used for daily commutes as well as carrying your trailer to a weekend getaway, you should seriously consider the 2020 Infiniti QX60.
