The 2021 Bentley Flying Spur comes with a 6.0-liter twin-turbocharged W-12 engine under its hood that cranks out 626 hp and 664 lb-ft torque. The engine is mated to an in-house developed 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission executing absolutely seamless shifts. Further, the standard AWD drivetrain helps maintain great traction at higher speeds along with better acceleration. 

The W12 engine remains relaxed below 2000 rpm with a surge of power being available past 3000 rpm and until the red line. The 2021 Bentley Flying Spur can go from 0-60 mph in 3.7 seconds, which is indeed faster than some of the top-end sports cars. The quarter-mile lap is clocked in 12.7 seconds, and the Flying Spur has a claimed top speed of 207 mph. 

Compared to fellow rivals, Bentley outperforms Rolls Royce Ghost's 6.6L V12 engine in terms of power output. Whereas the 2021 Mercedes-Maybach S580 is quite behind with its 496 hp 4L V8. Although, A V12 powered Maybach S680 model shall join the lineup in 2022. 

The Flying Spur gets rebadged Brembo racing spec brakes that can control the huge chassis quite capably. Every car owner prefers to have a car delivering maximum fuel economy. But if you worry extensively about fuel economy numbers then Bentley might not impress you. The 2021 Bentley Flying Spur delivers EPA-rated city/highway/combined mpg of 12/19/15. 

The low fuel economy numbers of Bentley can be justified by the powerful engine performance. Although this Bentley does get a fuel tank capacity of 24-gallons which is just humongous and lends the Flying Spur a range of around 336 miles in mixed driving conditions.

The interior of the 2021 Flying Spur will remain unchanged as it was just revamped last year. However, a new Chief option is introduced that replaces the rear bench seat with two buckets and a fixed center console. The chassis of the Bentley Flying Spur was upgraded for the 2020 model. The same chassis is carried forward for the 2021 model. The Bentley Flying Spur has not yet been crash-tested by the NHTSA or the IIHS, which is no surprise considering its high price tag.
