Pricing and Features
8.0/10

The Roma is much too expensive for most people to afford. Of course, the starting price of any Ferrari only indicates whether you can afford to even consider one. - Caranddriver

The 2021 Ferrari Roma is a brand new moniker in the United States and can be had in a single trim configuration for a base MSRP of $225,000. Being a Ferrari, the 2021 Roma comes with the impressive 3.9L twin-turbocharged V8 motor mated to an 8-speed DCT automatic transmission, putting out 612 hp and 561 lb-ft of torque, and the power is transmitted via an AWD drivetrain. When it comes to the exterior, the 2021 Roma comes with a host of 20" alloy wheel designs with multiple colors, more than 20 exterior colors, LED headlights with LED DRLs, and many more too.

The interior of the 2021 Ferrari Roma is quite opulent and luxurious, with the whole interior coming covered in premium Alcantara and leather. The features like an 8.4" touchscreen infotainment system, flat-bottom steering wheel with shift lights, aluminum paddles and paddle shifters, 16" digital gauge cluster display, and more than 30 interior and carpet colors can also be opted for. When it comes to the safety front, Ferrari has managed to provide all the basic features like ABS, airbags, etc as standard. However, some advanced features like blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, and lane-departure warning are all optional extras.

Engine and Performance
8.9/10

Roma is a car that is as seductive at whispering in your ear as it is giving it the full 7,500rpm V8 baritone roar. - Topgear

The 2021 Ferrari Roma, which is available for a base MSRP of $225,000, comes with the 3.9L twin-turbocharged V8 motor that is capable of putting out 612 hp and 561 lb-ft of torque. This is the same motor that does the duty in the 2021 Ferrari Portofino as well. This motor comes mated to an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and is offered with the AWD drivetrain. Available in a single trim configuration, this motor offers exhilarating performance in all the rev ranges.

Being a Ferrari, the 2021 Roma carries the ethos of the moniker and is a hoot to drive. The well-calibrated suspension setup along with the sticky rubber wrapped in the 20" alloy wheels make the car feel glued to the road while taking a fast corner. The body roll is inexistent and the car feels excellent around the corners with impressive driving dynamics on offer coupled with sharp and direct steering. The ride quality is also superb as can be expected from a grand tourer. While highway riding, the car absorbs all the irregularities on the road with ease. Even during the slow city commutes, the 2021 Roma feels right at home.

The 2021 Ferrari Roma's 612 hp and 561 lb-ft of torque help the car to do the 0-60 mph in 3.4 seconds. It can also do a top speed of 199 MPH, which is quite impressive for the segment. However, the quarter-mile time hasn't been posted yet. With a curb weight of 3,461 lbs and the front and rear brake rotors sized at 15.4" and 14.2", respectively, the 2021 Ferrari Roma also stops like a proper supercar. However, the 60-0 mph braking distance hasn't been measured yet.

Fuel Economy
5.5/10

With a powerful engine and sporty pretensions, the Roma isn't fooling anyone that it's going to be especially fuel efficient. - Caranddriver

The 2021 Ferrari Roma comes with a fire-breathing 3.9L twin-turbocharged V8 motor under that hood, which produces an impressive 612 hp and 561 lb-ft of torque. As a result, the gas mileage is not something we expect the car to be quite good at. Even then, we were not highly disappointed with the 16 MPG in the city, 23 MPG on the highway, and 18 MPG combined.

The 2021 Ferrari Roma comes with a 21.1-gallon fuel tank capacity and that helps this supercar to give out a city tank range of 337.6 miles and a highway range of 485.3 miles. The combined range of 379.8 miles is also quite decent for the segment. In comparison, the 2021 Ferrari Portofino also offers a similar 18 MPG of combined gas mileage. The combined range is also identical to the 2021 Roma since both of them come with the same motor.

Interior
9.0/10

To see the biggest changes of all, though, you'll need to sit inside. The Roma has the same abbreviated two-plus-two layout as the Portofino. - Cnet

The interiors of the 2021 Ferrari Roma scream luxury. The cabin is covered in Alcantara and leather upholstery and feels outright premium. The cabin has an opulent and classy design, as the dash is completely fitted with leather. It also comes with very few tactile buttons and most of the systems are controlled by the touch of a finger. The 2021 Roma, which is available for a base MSRP of $225,000, also comes with more than 30 interior and upholstery colors along with many carpet options as well. The seats are also well upholstered and come with impressive side bolstering and under-thigh support, making it quite comfortable.

Being a 4-seater coupe, the 2021 Ferrari Roma offers a decently spacious and comfortable traveling experience. The front seat occupants wouldn't have much to complain, since it offers impressive legroom and shoulder room. Even the headroom is also quite excellent in comparison to many of the rivals. However, the rear seat is not the most comfortable of the lot and is best suited for kids, as the legroom and headroom are quite restricted. When it comes to the cargo capacity, the 2021 Ferrari Roma manages to give out 11.3 cu ft of space, which is one of the best of the lot.
