We will recommend the EX trim from the Kia Forte lineup. Apart from being priced right, it packs features including heated front seats with power adjustment, a top-rated infotainment system, and all safety features that a compact sedan can have at this price point. It is well balanced and equipped with trim.
The 2020 Kia Forte received a score of 3.5 out of five for predicted reliability in the JD Power report. Mechanically, the Civic is ranked higher than the Jetta and the Mazda 3, and the CVT automatic transmissions are highly reliable with next to none maintenance.

The Mazda 3’s 2.5L engine beats every other rival in the engine capacity offering. The others find themselves together with 2.0L powerheads. Mazda 3's 0-60 mph time of 8.2 proves to be a tad better than that offered by the Kia Forte. The base Kia Forte is the slowest of the lot. The Civic follows the Mazda 3 in terms of acceleration but it has a poor braking distance.

We do wish the Forte had a bit more rear-seat legroom, and its ride can be a little too stiff at times. Still, there's much to like about the Forte, especially given its price and feature list. -Edmunds.com
Kia will pass on bringing out any changes to the exterior of the Kia Forte as it was completely redesigned for the 2019 model year. It is going to maintain and carry over the previous models’ look and charm. The Kia Forte looks like any other compact sedan in its segment but offers a wide variety of exterior features and options to make it an appealing choice.

The Kia Forte is longer than its counterparts and falls short in comparison to the Mazda 3 sedan. In terms of ground clearance, it again places behind the Mazda 3 that offers 0.2 inches more of ground clearance. The Kia is the lightest while the Mazda is the longest.
The wheelbase of all cars is similar to each other. The Kia Forte has a base curb weight of 2707 lbs that is way lighter than its rivals. Hence being able to have a lesser braking distance. Even though the Mazda 3 has the highest curb weight, it also has the least braking distance due to its advanced braking technology.
"Mixed crash-test results muddle the safety scorecard on the 2021 Kia Forte." - Thecarconnection
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration(NHTSA) gave the Kia Forte an overall safety rating of 4 out of 5. The Kia Forte received the highest rating of good in six crash tests and received Superior for its front crash prevention features by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).
The Kia Forte is equipped with various safety features and standard technology. The GT trim provides the best value of driver-assist features but can also be upgraded as an additional package.
The Toyota Corolla offers a comfortable ride, has a spacious back seat, and offers desirable standard features. The Corolla also costs more than the Kia Forte. While the Kia Forte is a car that balances value and offers a great deal of fuel economy, the Toyota Corolla is more attractive and well equipped. Both cars offer a wide deal of standard features. Overall, the Kia Forte is a bang for the buck while the Toyota Corolla can feel a little better, attractive, and chicer.
The base Mazda 3 priced the same as the top end Kia Forte. Well, the Mazda offers excellent acceleration, looks more upscale than all the competitors in the segment, has a well-equipped cabin, and offers great handling. Overall, the Mazda 3 does beat the Kia Forte in terms of look, styling, acceleration, and powerful engine. However, if the features of the base Mazda 3 feel a little underwhelming, opting for the Kia Forte GT trim can prove to be a good option.
Well, the Honda Civic costs more than the Kia Forte but offers great handling, a commodious cabin packed with a powerful engine, and various trim options to choose from. The Kia Forte is only as good as an alternative to the Honda Civic if there is a budget constraint and you are looking for something new. The Kia Forte won’t disappoint and offers the best value alongside a great fuel economy and advanced tech and features.
The 2021 Kia Forte is a great compact sedan for its segment that offers the best value. If you are looking for a sedan that fits your budget, saves money on pumps, is commodious, offers a wide range of standard features, and advanced technology, then then the Kia Forte is the perfect fit. If one has to assign one word to the car, it is ‘Value’. It is totally worth your money.
