The 2021 Stinger's trim lineup remains the same as the 2020 model. It will be available in a total of 4 trim options: GT-Line, GT1, and GT2. The price of the 2021 Kia Stinger GT-Line starts from $33,090 and ranges up to $52,590 for the top-of-the-line GT2 trim. This is excluding the destination and delivery charge of $1,045.

The base GT-Line trim of the Kia Stinger is powered by a 2.0L turbocharged inline-4 engine that belts out 255 hp, while all the other trims - the GT1, GT2 are powered by a 3.3L twin-turbocharged V6 mill that cranks out 365 hp. All the trims of the Kia Stinger get an RWD drivetrain as standard while the AWD drivetrain is an extra $2,200 for all the variants.

Otherwise, all models come standard with heated front seats, telematics, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. Moving higher up the trim ladder will get you opulent features like adaptive cruise control, 19-inch wheels, and a heads-up display fitted as standard equipment.

Priced at an MSRP of $35,290, we recommend buying the GT-Line with the AWD drivetrain. The GT Line comes with the basics and comes with the less powerful engine, however, it does come with the options that are standard fitment on the GT2 trim out of which we do recommend getting the larger touchscreen which comes with navigation and a 15-speaker system and we also recommend opting for the optional 19-inch wheels as well.

The 2021 Kia Stinger will be offered with a choice of 2 engine options - a standard 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder and a 3.3-liter twin-turbo V6. The base 2.5L turbocharged 4-pot is good for 255 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque. While the 3.3L twin-turbocharged V6 engine belts out 365 hp and 376 lb-ft of torque. The base 2.0L engine is offered on the base GT-Line trim while the 3.3L V6 engine is standard on the higher trims.

Regardless of the engine option you go for, the Kia Stinger gets an 8-speed automatic transmission that routes all the grunt to either the rear wheels of the sedan or to all the wheels if you opt for the optional AWD drivetrain. The Stinger's power figures are truly impressive, yet not the best. The Alfa Romeo Giulia takes the lead with 280 hp and 306 lb-ft of torque while the Genesis G70 comes with the least amount of power. 

The 2.0-liter engine of the Stinger makes it sprint from 0-60 mph in 5.9 seconds. Kia's 8-speed automatic gearbox is very efficient at low revs and keeps up the pace when you push it further. Keep the pedal pinned and the Stinger will clock the quarter of a mile lap in 14.6 seconds. Flat out, the Kia Stinger can attain a top speed of 155 MPH. Both Mercedes-Benz C-Class and Alfa Romeo Guilia post similar acceleration times by crossing 0-60 mph in 5.7 and 5.1 seconds, respectively, dominating the Stinger and Genesis G70.

Since there are absolutely no changes taking place, the 2021 Kia Stinger will offer the same level of fuel efficiency as its predecessor. With its 2.0L turbocharged inline-4 engine, the compact sedan will be able to roll for 22 miles in the city or be able to cruise through 29 miles on the highway for every gallon of gas.

Sum up these figures, and the 2021 Kia Stinger is good for a combined 25 mpg. However, the 3.3L twin-turbocharged V6 engine of the 2021 Stinger is thirsty and returns a city/highway/combined mpg of 17/25/20, respectively. Quite good for a twin-turbo V6.

The Kia Stinger gets a fuel tank capacity of 15.9 gallons which is enough to lend this sport sedan a combined range of close to 400 miles. Compared to rivals, the Alfa Romeo Giulia outperforms all of its rivals in terms of fuel efficiency. On the other hand, the Mercedes-Benz C300 comes with the largest fuel tank, thus offering the maximum range between the fuel stops as compared to the competition.

Kia’s R&D department has done a lot when it comes to the Stinger's interior, but it somehow lacks the exclusivity of its German equivalents. The quality of materials and general fit and finish of the Kia Stinger's interior is decent but not premium enough to battle it out with rivals that include names such as the Giulia and C300. The first few features you'll notice once you step inside the Stinger are the wireless phone charging pad, keyless entry, push-button start, and dual-zone automatic climate controls.

The seats are more bolstered than your average sedan, but even with the fastback-like styling it does not make the rear seating feel like the roof coming in. Since the Stinger is rated as a five-seater, seating three adults in the rear will be comfortable for short rides. The 2021 Kia Stinger will be offered with a 12-way power-adjustable driver's seat with 4-way power lumbar and 8-way power-adjustable front passenger seat with leather upholstery. The 2021 Stinger sees the addition of Red interior when you select Pantera Grey Paint on a V6 model (GT1 & GT2)

The Kia Stinger offers 23.3 cubic feet of cargo space with the rear seats upright and 40.9 cubic feet when the rear seats are folded and also the hands-free power tailgate is made available. It also offers the most spacious interiors among the rivals but cannot beat the luxury that the interiors of the 2021 Mercedes-Benz C-Class has on offer. The infotainment system on offer with the Stinger is a UVO 7-inch touchscreen which comes with the UVO 3 system. The GT2 has an 8-inch touchscreen running on the latest AVN 5.0 system.

Both systems come with the basics of Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth streaming with voice recognition as standard. However, the larger eight-inch touchscreen display with a voice-command navigation system comes. GT1 trim is fitted with a more premium nine-speaker system while GT-Line models get only a six-speaker sound system. A Harman Kardon audio system with 15 speakers is available on the GT2 trim as standard and is optional on the GT-line trim. The 2021 Stinger remains unchanged on the exterior front as well and carries the same aggressive and sporty design language as the 2020 model. The GT1 and GT2 trims get more muscular hood vents that promote the aggressive character of the Kia Stinger.

In terms of performance, the Alfa Romer Giulia offers more power than the Stinger and posts better acceleration times. However, the Stinger evens it out with a more spacious cabin and better trunk space on offer. In terms of exterior, the classy and modern Alfa Romeo steals the show. Both the sedans have a premium interior feel, however, the Kia infotainment system is easier to use and comes with Android Auto and Apple car play compatibility.

2021 Kia Stinger vs Genesis G70

Since the Kia Stinger is a fairly new sedan in the market, However, it is as close to the Genesis G70 in terms of mechanical parts as possible. The Genesis G70 is the Corporate sibling Sibling does make slightly lesser power and comes with less performance as well. But it makes 1 mpg more on the highway. However, Stinger does offer more space with practicality, making it a better option.

2021 Kia Stinger vs 2021 Mercedes-Benz C-Class

The Mercedes-Benz C-Class comes with the same power but offers better performance. The C-Class comes with better mpg and also thanks to the larger fuel tank - better driving range. However, it loses out to the Stinger in terms of practicality when you compare interior space. However, the Mercedes-Benz is quite a bit more pricer than the Stinger, making the C-Class a good option to consider.
