Overall Rating
The 2021 Maserati Levante is a luxury SUV sold in the US market that gets a hot blooded powertrain to match the thrill of its exhaust notes. The SUV, however, lacks some of its charm because of the reason it shares most common parts with other Fiat Chrysler umbrella cars.
The 2021 Maserati Levante for the current year has been priced at a starting MSRP of $78,290 and comes with two changes - the addition of a wireless charging pad and a new infotainment interface. The 2021 Levante is available in two configurations - Levante and Levante S with both getting three trims - base, GranLusso, and GranSport. The difference between the Levante and Levante S is the power output - 345 hp for the Levante and 424 hp for the Levante S.
The interior of the Levante is classic Italian Luxury which can be amplified with the leather and silk upholstery upgrade by Ermenegildo Zegna on the GranLusso trims. If you are seeking more power the David Beckham endorsed Maserati Levante Trofeo with a 580 hp V8 is available. The Maserati Levante can be leased at $915/month for 39 months from Maserati itself. That said, the 2021 Levante comes into direct competition from the Mercedes-Benz GLE 450, BMW X5, and Porsche Cayenne.
Well, Maserati is indeed a bit expensive car to afford and maintain, but it is also true that the car is worth the cost. The vehicle offers a lot of features with all the trims and one must go for the one that fits the requirements and pocket. The base trim level and the GranSport trim level are the versions that have almost all the technical features the same as the others. Also, they are less expensive than other trims.
So, we recommend you going for one of those would be a good idea. Both versions provide most of the features that are required by today’s buyers. These features include cruise control, hi-tech infotainment system, panoramic sunroof, keyless entry, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and smartphone integration. So, it is better to go for either the Base trim level or the GranSport trim level.

The BMW X5 comes with less power but better performance than the Maserati Levante. The X5 also comes with better fuel economy numbers and range, and more cargo space. The biggest difference between the two is price, the BMW X5 is $16,590 cheaper than the Maserati Levante. The BMW X5 is the winner of this battle.
The Mercedes-Benz GLE 450 comes with more power and better performance, better fuel economy, driving range, and much more cargo space. Like the X5, the price of the Mercedes-Benz GLE 450 is $15,000 lesser and comes with one of the best interiors in the industry. The Mercedes-Benz GLE 450 is the winner of this battle.

However, when compared to the BMW X5 and the Mercedes-Benz GLE 450 do offer more practicality and better performance at a more affordable price.
