The all-new 2021 Porsche Panamera's line up will include 3 trim levels- Base, 4, and 4S and the all-new long-wheelbase Executive is offered with the 4 & 4S trim levels. The Panamera Executive is the newest addition to the lineup that is specially tailored for those who complained about less space in the back. The wheelbase has been extended and now the car has ample space just similar to its competitors which offers you an equivalent spacious room in the back to truly become a chauffeur-driven car. All of the trims pack a lot of flavor and panache for their build and live up to the standards of being a Panamera.
They are all powered by the same 2.9L bi-turbo V6 engine unit that was previously reserved only for the Hybrid models. The 2021 Porsche Panamera will have a starting price tag of $89,125 for the Base trim and end up around $117,00 for the top-end Executive variant. The prices for the 2021 model have witnessed a bump, as compared to the prices of the 2020 Porsche Panamera.

Considering the all-new lineup of the all-new 2021 Panamera, making a choice is indeed a difficult task. However, see the bigger picture, with all the money you'll have to shell out, it clears up your mind a bit. The Panamera, in its base variant also comes loaded with all the features and amenities that you'll ever seek in a sedan of this segment. Moreover, the 2021 Porsche Panamera is already an expensive set of wheels, even in its base avatar.
However, if the standard 325 horsepower ain't enough for you, and you have a knack for only the best of the best, we recommend you to go for the 4 trim as it gets more power and features, at a justifiable price difference.
The 2.9L bi-turbo V6 powertrain underneath the hood of the 2021 Porsche Panamera produces 325 hp and 331 lb-ft of torque which is about 5 hp less than the previous year's model. That being said, the marginally reduced powertrain does not lack in any regard, rather takes the Panamera to new horizons with a renewed vigor. To keep things in check, the legendary 8-speed PDK automatic transmission is in place. This transmission celebrates the new powertrain and helps tame all its performance to be put in the right places at the right time. The Base model uses an RWD drivetrain to put power on the rear wheels while the 4 and Executive models give us what we love, AWD.
The new Porsche Advanced Cockpit Control allows you to truly juice out the feel from the car. Find an empty strip of road, turn on the Sport mode, and get ready to be thrust your back into the seat. Press the pedal and the 325 horses literally prance forward to propel the Panamera. The 2.9L turbocharged V6 engine of the 2021 Porsche Panamera propels it from 0-60 mph in a mere 5.3 secs.

In this segment, the Mercedes Benz S-Class is the most expensive car which also offers the most powerful engine. The Audi A8L comes in next with 335 horsepower, just inching forward with higher torque figures as compared to the power figures of the BMW 7-Series. Though Panamera does not offer raw numbers as compared to the others, it still remains comfortably comparable to the others to remain a worthy and relevant adversary.
The 2021 Porsche Panamera offers improved fuel economy this time around. Things have been shaken up quite a bit under the hood and its effects have mostly been positive. While the previous-gen Panamera's MPG numbers were decent, the 2021 model soars new heights. The 2.9L bi-turbo unit inside the 2021 Porsche Panamera now offers a combined fuel economy of 26 MPG.
The fuel tank capacity of the 2021 Porsche Panamera remains the same as the 2020 model. However, with an enhanced fuel economy, you now get a much better range of 616 miles overall. For a car that bears the Porsche logo on the hood, this is pretty respectable as this is as fuel-efficient as they come.

The BMW 7 Series has long been the ruler of fuel economy figures in all the segments it has entered, but now, the Panamera finally takes its crown and hence sits at the throne. The 2021 Mercedes-Benz S-Class has also improved on its economy numbers and finds itself in third place. The Audi A8 L leaves out the bowline for practicality and fuel efficiency and comes out as a gas guzzler, with a combined mpg of 18.
"Porsche claims the model features a new throttle calibration that improves responsiveness to accelerator inputs." - Motor Trend
The 2021 Porsche Panamera’s cabin will be a great mixture of both modern and traditional design cues. The hatchback and executive will be available with 4 passenger seats and the Sports Turismo would be available with 5 passenger seat capacity. The Panamera’s front seats are comfortable and highly adjustable that would provide ample legroom and headroom and heated seats as standard. The rear seats finally address the smaller cabin space issue with the Executive trim and give you room to fully stretch yourself out back there even when the front seats are adjusted to maximum. With this step forward, it finally truly joins the long chariots of the others.Â
The 2021 Porsche Panamera comes with ventilated seats for the front row and a heated steering wheel providing extra comfort. The Panamera’s dashboard is immaculately styled with great quality leather, and soft-touch plastic covered with walnut and carbon fiber inserts which gives an elegant and high-end look. The 2021 Porsche Panamera provides a capacious cargo area of 17.6 cubic feet, which can be further extended up to 50 cubic feet which are at par with its rivals in the segment. The 2021 Porsche Panamera comes with the latest technology with a 12-inch all LED touchscreen infotainment system with smooth graphics paired with a 7-speaker Sound System as standard.

Some of the most eminent creature convenience features aboard the 2021 Porsche Panamera include:
"For 2021, the Porsche Panamera, now in its second generation, returns with a mid-life refresh that'll ensure it retains its competitive edge for the next few years." - Carbuzz.com
The new 2021 Porsche Panamera gets minimalist designing updates over the outgoing 2020 Porsche Panamera. That being said, the updates are still loud enough to be noticed. The Panamera gets a luxurious aura along with some sports styling cues which give the Panamera a distinctive character over the rest of the competitors in the segment. The Panamera is also customizable and can be done according to your preferences, including choices of colors, bigger wheels, etc.
The Panamera has undergone subtle changes that remain simplistic and yet make heads turn. A number of tweaks have been made such as the LED strip at the rear, which now extends the entire width of the sedan. The headlights have also been visually enhanced, while the lower bumper covers have also received a fair share of attention.

The 2021 Porsche Panamera and BMW 7 Series provide the maximum ground clearance. The 2021 Porsche Panamera has the most compact dimensions in this segment with a curb weight of 4,222 lbs. On the other hand, the Audi A8L is the longest and widest car in the segment. That being said, if you bring the Executive trim into the picture, it packs enough length to match up to the others and hence adds a lot of space inside whilst maintaining a superior road presence. Some of the most eye-catching elements of the 2021 Porsche Panamera's exterior are:
The 2021 Porsche Panamera gets a long list of safety features. Porsche claims that the new Panamera has been christened with a re-enforced chassis which is now stronger and more stable than before. The German auto-marque has reserved the majority of prominent safety and driver-assist highlights for the higher trims or as optional extras.
Organizations like the NHTSA and the IIHS have not yet bashed the Porsche Panamera, and that seems unlikely to happen in the foreseeable future as well, considering the ride's hefty price tag and its stature. However, the organization has not been all reckless and arms the new Panamera with quite a few safety and driver-aid features as standard. Some of the most important standard safety features that are available in the 2021 Porsche Panamera are as follows:
The Porsche Panamera and Mercedes Benz S-Class both carry excellence in their segment and it's difficult to choose between them as Panamera canaries the sporty look, whereas the Mercedes Benz S-Class is a luxurious and opulent chariot that is well powered and immersive for all those who buy it.
Being the long-running winner of this segment, even the Executive trim needs to work quite a lot to dethrone this bad boy and hence there is no alternative to the Mercedes Benz S Class.
The Audi A8 is another great option as it is less expensive than the Panamera. The Audi A8 is big inside and out, comfortable, and packed with power and also offers a lot of technological inclination. Also, its styling is quite luxurious and retains its value on those bases. Audi has the best reputation for designing the best interiors with intuitive controls, filled with good materials and ergonomically comfortable which makes it a notch above the Panamera.
However, it is not marginally as close to the Panamera in terms of fuel economy, so you will definitely incur higher costs of ownership. The Audi A8 would be the best choice for people looking for a luxurious sedan. However, if you have a knack for sports cars, the Porsche Panamera would be the best choice.
The BMW 7 Series is chairman of the board in terms of driver assistance and the overall comfort that a long saloon can offer. Practically a lounge on wheels, you get everything that the S-Class can offer. Furthermore, the design looks menacing and packs a punch with its performance. For all those who enjoy the finer things in life and want a ride that means business without any hassles, the BMW 7-Series should be the one.
That being said, the Beamer does lose out on the dynamism that the Panamera packs, and not to forget that it has been dethroned by the Porsche in terms of fuel economy as well. So, it all boils down to brand preference here.
The 2021 Porsche Panamera is a super classy car with sporty looks and offers some of the best features in this segment. The Panamera is a great option as it is best known for comfort, luxury, best engine, well-balanced handling, posh, and its reliability that has come a long way than the older generation of Porsches.
There are a variety of options in the same price range from Mercedes S class to BMW 7 Series, but the Panamera still manages to stand out from its rival as it carries the best luxurious and sporty look. So the 2021 Porsche Panamera is the all in one gorgeous package that everyone must be looking around in the town.
