The 2021 Porsche Taycan gets an extensive powertrain lineup, as all the individual trim gets different power output. The Base trim gets a single motor that drives the rear wheels as standard. This setup generates 312 hp along with 254 lb-ft of torque as standard with its 79.2 kWh battery pack, while with the over-boost mode, the power output climbs up to 402 hp. There is also a Performance Battery Plus option that generates 375 hp or 469 hp in the over-boost mode with its 93.4 kWh battery pack

The top Turbo S trim is the most powerful in this line with a maximum power output of 750 hp in the powerboost mode. The 2021 Audi E-Tron Electric Sportback is as powerful as the base variant of the Porsche Taycan, but the Taycan provides much better performance than the E-Tron Sportback. The Sportback is quite slow in acceleration and cannot match the handling capabilities of the Taycan. The Sportback is much heavier and thus the Taycan overpowers it in almost all the segments. 

The Audi E-Tron Sportback has its own advantages. It is a much more practical vehicle that provides the best-in-class passenger spacing and thus is more comfortable. The interior of the E-Tron is premium as well and provides us with a much better maximum cargo capacity. The E-Tron Sportback is also cheaper with a base price of $69,100.

The 2021 Porsche Taycan could be dubbed as an electric sports car to have due to its design elements and overall performance. The interior is one of the best that we have seen in an electric sedan. The Taycan has quick acceleration and great handling that makes you enjoy all the long and short rides. The Porsche Taycan’s higher trims are surely expensive and the range does not impress either, but the Taycan 4S variant provides the best value for the money spent for the premium car buyers.
