For the 2022 Audi RS7, there’s only one trim to choose from, and it comes with a sticker price of $118,500. Destination charges are an extra $1,045. Since there are no major changes, the 2022 RS 7 comes standard with an RS-tuned suspension, large optional, Carbon ceramic brakes, and an RS-specific rear bumper. Apart from this, the car is well-equipped with features such as a power tailgate, power panoramic sunroof, four-zone automatic climate control, heated and ventilated front seats, 40/20/40 split-folding rear seatback, and the Audi virtual cockpit plus.

The 2022 RS 7 comes with a ton of optional packages. The Carbon optic package ($6,650) adds 22-inch alloy wheels, exterior carbon trims, and carbon exterior mirrors. There are a few brake packages available that add a colored caliper along with Audi ceramic brakes. The RS Design Package is available in Red and Grey color ($1,600) and adds blacked-out interior trims with contrast stitching. On the safety side, Audi offers a Driver Assistance package that adds a few advanced driver safety systems. Audi also offers a sport exhaust package for $1,000.

At $118,500, there is only one trim on the 2022 Audi RS 7, but there are a ton of packages to choose from. We recommend the Sport exhaust for a more engaging ride, the Carbon optic package, the brand-new RS Design package, and the Driver Assistance package with Audi side assist package.

The 2022 Audi RS7 will be equipped with the same monstrous 4.0L TFSI bi-turbo V8 powerplant that churns out a whopping 591 hp and 590 lb-ft of torque. The engine comes mated to a super slick 8-speed TripTronic gearbox and power is sent to all four wheels via Audi’s Quattro all-wheel-drive system. The 2022 Audi RS 7 will also get 48-volt mild-hybrid assistance for the extra punch. The engine-gearbox combination is smooth and power delivery is linear.

No matter which wheels you choose, the ride quality on the RS 7 is refined and not very stiff either, thanks to the adaptive air suspension and the well-built chassis. The steering and handling on the RS 7 is responsive and precise, giving you the confidence to go faster in the curves. However, there's a catch - the RS 7 does make for a city driver as well, which might cause the steering to not feel as sporty as some rivals.

For 2022, the RS 7 comes equipped with the Dynamic Ride Control suspension system that helps reduce body roll and minimizes weight transfer during high-speed cornering. The RS 7 is the most affordable car out here, and it still matches up to its rival's performance and luxury in all criteria. Out of all the high-performance luxury sedans that are out there in the market, the BMW M8 Gran Coupe has the highest power and torque numbers. However, 0-60 MPH timings are well within sub-four seconds ballpark for the new 2022 Audi RS 7. The Mercedes-AMG GT 63 has a top speed of 193 mph and can reach 0-60 MPH in just 3.1 seconds.

The 2022 RS 7 is a fuel-thirsty performer, and its mileage figures say the same. EPA estimates return a fuel efficiency of 15 MPG in the city, 22 MPG on the highway, and 17 MPG combined. A fuel capacity of 19.3 gallons gives the RS 7 a range of 289 city miles and 424 highway miles. Fuel costs for the RS 7 come up to $3,220 per year.

The Porsche Panamera Turbo is the most fuel-efficient car with its combined mileage of 21 MPG. The M8 returns the next best mileage of 18 MPG, whereas the RS 7 and the GT 63 have the same fuel efficiency of 17 MPG. Among them, the RS 7 is more efficient on the highway. The Panamera also gets a huge range thanks to its 23.7-gallon tank.

The 2022 Audi RS7's interior sees no change from the 2021 model apart from the carbon-fiber trim details. The interior of the existing RS7 is a nice blend of sporty and luxury. The RS 7's top-notch built quality on the interior is complemented with premium material and soft-touch surfaces used all-around. Everything feels solid and there's a different appeal to the contrast stitching and the leather seats. The RS 7 interior can be customized for trim and seat color depending on the user's preference.

The RS7 offers an ample amount of room on both rows of seats. In the front, the power-adjustable sports seats have excellent lateral as well as thigh support, they can be upgraded to leather seats and come with heated and ventilated functionality as well. Three adults on the back seat will be a bit of a squeeze but they still will be pretty comfortable while traveling around. For a comfortable drive, available features include 4-zone climate control, keyless entry and ignition, and heated rear seats.

As for the competition, the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 is the most spacious hands down. The BMW M8 isn’t far behind the Merc in terms of front and rear space on offer. As for the Audi RS7 and the Porsche Panamera, these two cars offer slightly less space overall. Between them, however, the Audi is more spacious than the Porsche. As for the infotainment unit and Audi’s cockpit display, there are 3 large screens at the front of which two of them are touchscreens.

The two touchscreens will sit in the center (works as the infotainment unit) and the one that sits lower near the center console is dedicated to climate control and seat adjustment controls. The third screen in the car is the instrument cluster or Audi’s virtual cockpit system. This system of screens is quite smooth, and there is no lag as such in any operation at all. The Audi RS7is among the most futuristic and sporty-looking cars on the market. The RS 7 is longer and wider than the regular A7 and comes with some very unique design cues. Up front, the car gets the large three-dimensional, single-frame honeycomb pattern grille with a gloss black finish that imparts a very beefy fascia. All the cars here have very commanding stances and road presence. The ground clearance is almost the same for all these cars except for the Audi RS7. The RS 7 has the tightest wheelbase of the lot. 2022 Audi RS7 Vs 2021 Porsche Panamera Turbo

Both the Panamera and the RS7 are high-performing vehicles and come with engaging driving dynamics. However, the Panamera Turbo has a more plush ride compared to the Audi RS7’s, and is more fuel efficient as well. In terms of interior and luxury, the Porsche Panamera Turbo outshines the Audi RS7 with its roomier interior, and unmistakably Porsche treatment. It has more standard features on offer as well.  In terms of body design, both are extremely stunning cars to look at. What makes the 2022 Audi RS7 stand above the Porsche Panamera Turbo is the price difference.

2022 Audi RS7 Vs 2021 Mercedes Benz AMG GT 63

Performance-wise, the AMG GT 63 is quicker than the RS7 and has a higher top speed, thanks to its 9-Speed Automatic transmission. However, the 2022 Audi RS 7 surpasses the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 in terms of power produced. Despite this, the AMG GT 63 is quicker than the RS 7 in the 0-60 MPH performance run, which is partly because of the better power to weight ratio on the GT 63. It’s on the inside, where the 2021 Mercedes-AMG GT 63 outshines the RS7, with its roomier cabin and extra legroom and headroom. The M8 Gran Coupe feels long and unnecessarily bulge-ish at times when compared to the sleek and sharp Audi, and for something that costs almost $130,000, the BMW is more expensive than the RS 7. All in all, the RS 7 makes for an excellent bargain over the M8 with its engaging driving and thrilling performance.
