"Although the new QX60 feels to be in need of a new engine with more low-end torque, the compliant suspension lends a certain appeal." - Motortrend
The 2022 Infiniti QX60 is powered by a naturally aspirated 3.5L V6 engine that outputs 295 hp and 270 lb-ft of torque. The car is mated to a 9-speed transmission which powers the front wheels as standard. All-wheel-drive is available as an optional extra for another $2,000. The engine is extremely refined, and the 9-speed gearbox is smooth with precise and quick gearshifts. However, this transmission takes a while to begin initially.
The QX60 sprints from 0-60 mph in around 6.6 seconds, with the quarter-mile coming up in 15.3 seconds. The car has a top speed of 120 MPH. The QX60 comes with Normal, Eco, and Sport driving modes. The Eco mode slightly dulls out throttle responses, focusing more on efficiency than performance. The Sport mode amplifies the driving dynamics and input responses for a more engaging driving experience. The optional tow package on the QX60 increases towing capacity to 6,000 lbs from the standard 5,000 lbs.

The Volvo is the most affordable and the slowest among these four SUVs, thanks to its least power and torque output. The QX60 is the most powerful one here but the MDX is marginally quicker off the mark. That said, the Infiniti has the highest towing prowess and yet is the most affordable of the lot, while the XC90 is the most expensive of the lot.
The 2022 Infiniti QX60 has not been rated for fuel efficiency yet, but expect no huge changes for the 2022 model. The 9-speed transmission will affect the efficiency, and we'll update this space once the EPA ratings come out. The Infiniti QX60 should return around 20 MPG in the city, 27 MPG on the highway, and 22 MPG combined for the FWD models.
On the Infiniti QX60 equipped with AWD, expect a drop of 1 MPG across all fields. Fuel costs for the QX60 are average for the class and come to around 0.16 dollars/mile. The FWD model offers a range of a combined mileage of around 450 miles dropping to over 420 with the AWD drivetrain.

Both the Infiniti and the XC90 are most the frugal ones of the segment with the Volvo being the more efficient on the highways. The MDX and RX 350L consume more fuel than the other two and also offer a shorter driving range.
"With fresh styling, a luxurious interior, and tons of new technology, the 2022 QX60 looks ready to burst into the three-row luxury SUV segment." - Carbuzz
The 2022 Infiniti QX60 takes its interior a level up to the previous model with extensive usage of quality premium materials. The cabin has been completely revamped in terms of layout. The interior has the right mixture of soft-touch plastics and materials. Robust controls have been laid out logically throughout the cabin. Overall, the quality fit, and finish are excellent. The ambiance inside is roomy, and the stitched leather on the dash and front seats go along well.Â
The 2022 QX60 can seat up to 7 passengers. The front row power-adjustable seats are comfortable, with excellent bolstering and lateral support. There's enough space to accommodate drivers of any shape and size. In the middle row, the long legroom and tall headroom supported with comfortable seats make it a great place to be in. On the Autograph trim, the middle row gets captain chairs instead of the conventional bench. In the rear, the seating space is sufficient for small adults.Â

Infiniti offers ventilated front seats and heated second-row seats as optional. The ingress and egress functionality is easy thanks to the wide doors, and access to the third row is facilitated by the press of a button. Large windows give a great view of the world all around. Against the rivals, Volvo has the roomiest third row, whereas the QX60's middle row has the most legroom. The MDX offers the largest trunk which is marginally larger than the Infiniti, while the RX 350L is the most cramped in this comparison.Â
The 2022 Infiniti QX60 comes with a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment unit as standard. A 12.3-inch digital gauge is optional, and a 10.8-inch HUD is offered in a package. The car finally gets Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard, apart from WiFi and a wireless phone charger. Standard 9-speaker audio system is upgraded to a 17-speaker Bose surround system Sensory trim onwards. Some interior features on the QX60 are:
"Stately without being lavish, the 2022 QX60 makes its home in the luxury segment." - The Car Connection
The 2022 Infiniti QX60 gets a completely redesigned exterior. The car now gets sharper lines combined with great cures at the edges. The car now looks bigger and wider than before, and it has a muscular stance that gives it a more vibrant and bold look than the previous QX60. At the front, the grille has now gotten wider and taller and is contrasted by the slim and long headlamps. The hood is now flatter than before which helps the car look longer than it actually is.
The high shoulder line with the door-mounted mirrors give the QX60 a richer look than before, and the alloy wheels enhance the beauty of this car. At the rear, the look is slightly polarizing, with the upswept rear bumper chrome accents that do not go well with the slim headlights-like taillamps. The exterior maintains a minimalistic design approach overall. The car is now shorter but has a wider track and larger tires.

Against the rivals, the QX60 is the largest while the Acura MDX is the widest. The Volvo XC90 has the highest ground clearance and offers the longest wheelbase here. On the streets though, the MDX looks the most striking to look at while the Volvo XC90 feels the most premium of the lot.
Some of the exterior features on the 2022 Infiniti QX60 are:
The 202 Infiniti comes very well equipped in terms of safety equipment. Although the car has not been safety rated yet, the 2020 model received a top score of 5-stars overall from the NHTSA, with a 4-star rating in the rollover test. The IIHS also rated the QX60 with 'Good' ratings in most tests but gave 'Acceptable' for the small overlap front passenger-side test. The car was a top safety pick for 2019. The 2022 model uses a revamped chassis used on the older QX60. Some safety features on the car are:
Both the cars here come equipped with a punchy V6 engine, have a similar fuel economy, come with available AWD, and offer a thrilling driving experience. The MDX benefits from its engine upgrades, more standard features, and the sporty Type S variant. The QX60 has a higher tow rating, more cargo space, and is the better looking of the two. With a similar pricing range, the Acura has a slight advantage in this battle.
The RX 350L is not only more expensive than the Infiniti, it is also slower and also has a lower towing capacity. The Lexus also loses out in terms of MPG ratings, interior passenger space, and luggage capacity. The Infiniti also has a lot more technology and safety features to offer as standard which makes it the obvious choice between the two.
The Volvo XC90 is considerably more expensive than QX60, and while it is slower off the mark, it manages to match up with the fuel economy figures. The QX60 is the most spacious one in the business and it comes loaded with plenty of features. While Volvo offers better safety, the lower cost of ownership of Infiniti tilts the scales towards the QX60.
Where the earlier QX60 lacked, the 2022 Infiniti QX60 improves on it and adds more functionality as well. This completely redesigned car now has more modern styling, and a premium interior to take on the likes of its well-equipped formidable rivals. At an MSRP starting at $47,875, the QX60 makes a strong statement for itself with its feature-rich plush interiors and a more advanced infotainment system. It has decent performance on offer, and the driving dynamics have vastly improved over the last model. All in all, at its asking price, this is a great SUV to consider in this segment.
