Overall Rating
The 2023 Honda HR-V is a compact crossover SUV that offers a perfect blend of style, versatility, and fuel efficiency. It is available in four different trim levels, namely, the LX, Sport, EX, and EX-L, each of which is designed to suit different lifestyle and budget needs.
Under the hood, the HR-V is powered by a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 141 horsepower and 127 lb-ft of torque. It comes standard with front-wheel drive, but all-wheel drive is available as an option. The HR-V provides a smooth and responsive ride, with well-weighted steering and a comfortable suspension that offers a good balance of handling and comfort.
The interior of the HR-V is well-designed, with a spacious cabin and comfortable seats. Standard features include a 5-inch display screen, Bluetooth connectivity, and a four-speaker audio system. Higher trims add features such as a 7-inch touchscreen display, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, and a six-speaker audio system.
The exterior of the HR-V is sleek and modern, with Honda's signature "Solid Wing Face" grille and LED headlights. The HR-V also features a sporty roofline and a sleek profile that gives it a dynamic look.
The 2023 Honda HR-V competes in a crowded market segment, with rivals such as the Toyota C-HR, the Nissan Kicks, and the Hyundai Kona. However, the HR-V's combination of style, versatility, and fuel efficiency makes it a strong contender in the compact crossover SUV market.
Safety is a top priority for the Honda HR-V, it comes standard with features such as a rearview camera, lane departure warning, and forward collision warning. Higher trims add features such as automatic emergency braking, lane keeping assist, and adaptive cruise control.
In conclusion, the 2023 Honda HR-V is a versatile, fuel-efficient, and stylish compact crossover SUV that offers a great value for its price. With its comfortable interior, smooth and responsive handling, and a host of standard and available features, the HR-V is an excellent choice for anyone looking for a compact crossover SUV. We have over 7,000 listings for the Honda HR V ranging from $11,000 to $50,000. Check them out here!
For 2023, we would recommend the mid-range sport trim of the HR V. For the added price, you get 18-inch gloss-black wheels, a distinctive front grille, chrome exhaust tips, leather-wrapped steering wheel and shifter, heated front seats, a six-speaker audio system, and a Blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert. There are no packages on offer for the Sport trim and thus customization is limited. We particularly liked the Crystal Black Pearl, Lunar Silver Metallic, and Modern Steel Metallic exterior paint schemes as they accentuate the SUV’s sporty nature.
