Spread across 3 trims, the Volvo XC40 starts off at a base price of MSRP $36,000 and carries on to $42,000. Not all trims are built equal, however, as there are 2 powertrains on offer.
The standard engine is a 2.0L Inline-4 engine rated for 187 horsepower and 221 lb-ft of torque. With this engine, the XC40 gives you a towing capacity of 3,500 pounds. An optional 2.0L Inline-4 engine is also offered, with an output of 248 horsepower. An 8-Speed Automatic transmission is offered alongside both engines.
